yah,,,your right i should apply my SSN after I arrived here..

I dont know that SSN is very important here in US..(now i realized)..

After the marriage i try to get my SSN and then they told me that im not cleared yet in Immigration and they can't find my name..then the officer working there said they send an email to immigration and they will call me if i can get my SSN.They xerox my passport with the I-94..so after 2 weeks(if im not mistaken) they called me saying that i can't have my SSN due to near expiration of my I-94(FEb.26.2012)told me that i can apply again when i get my GC..

and now im trying to get a bank joint account with my hubby and they need SSN.but all i have is my passport and marriage certificate.but they didn't accept..and also my hubby cannot put my name in the tax return 2011 because i don't have SSN..just too worried also about this what to show in my later interview..hayssst. .so many problems about this AOS and i dont know what to do..

Hello, all I am needing help, me and my current wife we have already gotten married within the 90 days recently and now we need to apply for permanent residence. I have the I-485 but I need to know since we have already did the fiance visa paperwork..what all do i need with the I-485? it asks for alot that we have already sent. Please please let me know what I need to send with this I-485? Thank you so much for your help

Don't worry about your status. Your visa was valid for 1 entry in the U.S. and is now void. When your apply for AOS you enter a period of authorized stay until you receive your GC. Just make sure you don't leave the U.S. prior to receive either your EAD or GC or you abandon your petition. If you do travel within the U.S. while your AOS is pending, you can choose to make a copy of your NOA and your marriage license and have those in your luggage just in case.

You need to send them the NOA for the I-485 as the I-765 and I-131 are free when filed with the I-485 or after filing the I-485. Do not worry about your visa expiring as it was void the day you arrived in the US. It is the I-94 that determines your status as an immigrant and after filing the AOS you are in a state of extended status. At this point you will most likely receive the GC before the EAD making the EAD useless as the GC trumps the EAD.

I just have my NOA's yesterday from I-485 and I-765.

In I-485/biometrics stating the receipt of it,and the next step for my schedule..But the I-765 need to send it again in Chicago and saying that "the checked amount is incorrect or has not been provided.."so does it means i need to pay it? coz i send my I-485 and biometrics in 2 checks....and im worried about my visa,,it will expired on April 20 what if my visa expired and i did not have my interview??..what will happen..please help....
