Ahh I am going out of my mine right now, we completed case on 1/08/2012 (1st of Aug for any of you Americans reading ) and were so sure we would get an interview assigned for this month, when we realised that wasnt going to happen we thought for sure next month (somewhere my husband has read it was this week they assign interviews for October) as it is Friday in NZ and we have heard nothing...I've lost hope it will be in October so now I am thinking the earliest is November...Basically I just wanted to know if anyone in New Zealand has been given an interview time yet for October, I mean is it normal to take this long. I really am unsure :S

Our case complete is dated July 31st and we still do not have an interview. Calling the NVC and consulate is pointless because they claim to have no information. Is there anything else I can do? It's at 6 weeks now, and will be 10 weeks if we have to wait another month.
-
It's going on nearly 6 weeks and still nothing. What a broken process.

cr-1 visa
Does anyone out there know the approx wait time from the NVC case complete to an interview at the Auckland consulate? We got case complete on July 31st, but did not get a September interview because September interviews are now full. I would like to think it will be in October. Whats the chances? Are they super backlogged or anything?
-
I got it by mail about 2-3 weeks after case complete.
-
If we haven't received a interview date for next month yet would you say its too late for next month?
-
I understand it varries by location, but it seems most people from most locations are still waiting. Does this mean they now have to wait until next month to simply learn an interview date that will be another month away? I really don't understand why this isn't automated anyways.
-
It seems a lot of people are waiting. I wonder what the deal is.

How many people out there are waiting on the nvc to assign an interview date? At every state theses always some sort of issue for us, I'm assuming this stage will be no different. Once we get to the consulate I feel we are safe. All the reviews say the staff is really good.

About 1.5 weeks ago I was told I had a case complete. The next day I received a notice saying that they need our police certificate. New Zealand is a special case where you only sent in a forum so that the consulate is able to obtain your records. I sent this with my paperwork. I called the help line and they said to just ignore this message. Many people on here say that after nothing else is needed the online payment portal fails to work. My payment portal still works. Is this normal and was their advice correct about ignoring the message? How long should it be until we get an interview date assigned?

On July 31st I was told that my case was completed. Today, August 1st, I received a notice saying that they do not have my police certificate. New Zealand is a special case where you just sent in a request form. I sent this form to them already. The nvc is saying since case is complete I should just ignore this e-mail. Would their advice be correct from your experiences?

Our consulate is in New Zealand. Does this change anything?

We are applying for a cr-1 visa and just got our case complete from the NVC today. That being said, I am a bit confused about packet 3 and 4. It seems to be different from place to place, so thought it may be best to ask here. What forms will need to be filled out for packet 3? Also, who issues packet 4, the consulate or the NVC? From my understanding, the NVC issues the interview date. Does the consulate just send out the letter while the NVC still issues the date?
Should mention this is for New Zealand (Auckland) in case anyone didn't notice.

They opened it and I got something similar to a RFE. Oh well. Payment should be marked as sent tomorrow and I will just call to let them know as well as send a letter. I probably delayed it more by sending it too soon, but you live and learn.

My AOS fees only took 1 day to transfer to the nvc. That being said, I waited one business day, and then sent my IV paperwork. Today is day two and the payment still has not gone through. I looked in my bank account and the money has started the pending process, so it should be taken out tomorrow. Considering the IV paperwork will be delivered today, no one normally opens it and scans it in day one right?
-
Glad I didn't send this stuff yet. Thanks for the heads up. I will have to get an original signature.

For some documents my wife needed to sign, she just sent me a scanned copy and I printed it out. Will this be any problem since it's not the original?

Honestly, what I get sick of is our case being pushed to the back. We started our case way before most people at this stage. You think we would have some sort of priority, it would only be fair. At every single stage there is some (made up) reason why ours is slow or behind everyone else. Most of the time it's just employee error or employees not caring. You learn to never trust a word of advice these people give you.

We just decided to mail ours after lack of reply's from the NVC e-mail. They must have looked at it twice without replying, and decided for whatever reason not to accept it. Makes me a bit upset that we have more wasted time, but nothing you can do. Other people seem to have been sending their 3032 in recently(by e-mail) and getting it accepted within a week or so. It's best to just do it by mail so you know they have it and it's in some sort of order that they have to acknowledge at some point.
-
Once the NVC receives our DS-3032 by e-mail (as backlogged as they are it could be another 2-3 weeks, and this is with me sending it about a week early), are we able to send USPS express mail to the normal NVC address? The USCIS has two different addresses, one for Courier or "Express Mail" and one for normal mail. Does the NVC have anything similar to this, or does it all go to one address?
-
I e-mailed ours on July 3rd also with no response yet. I am going to wait a few more days, then I may just mail it to them. Who knows how backlogged that e-mail address is. I e-mailed NVCresearch on June 27th and got a response from NVCinquiry(not sure why, maybe they are trying to balance the load?) on July 13th. By the time they responded I had long resolved the issue. That shows that it is currently taking them about 2.5-3 weeks to reply.
-
Do they respond to all e-mails (even if they deny or won't use the electronic choice of agent)? Its okay if its taking some time for them to read it, but if they have just decided not to reply, that's when I would be upset because I would be waiting for nothing.

Would you mail in a copy or wait?

Mate I tell you it is extremely unfair. My husband and I have been apart throughout our process (started October 2011) and it is just killing us completely. Although we are near the end, just waiting on an interview at every stage has been terrible customer service where they have lost our forms, to requesting evidence that we did include, to no one knows what is going on. Three weeks is a complete insult to people like me and yourself.
