Hi,
My name is Donna, married February 14th 2014 in China, moved to US together in August 2014, divorced september 28th 2015, and I sent form I 751 December 28th 2015, anybody knows when they will cash the check and send me back the receipt? Thank you so much! God bless everyone!
Best,
Donna
If it hasn't already been cashed, then in the next couple of days. It took about a week for them to cash my check.

Just called to check on the status of my case, they are still stating that they are working on March 2nd cases, but I swear that the first time I read that specific date as "what they are working on right now" was months ago, so no change.
Maybe I'm just being neurotic about it, but oh well.

Had my Biometrics done on 5/22/15. Now just to wait.

Mailed my I-751 packet off on Tuesday March 31st and got my notice of action today (April 10th), receipt date of NOA I-797 is 04/06/2015. I'm looking forward to this whole immigration deal being complete. Sent mine to Vermont.

Won't be long now before I can apply for citizenship, but I was wondering how that works in terms of retaining my citizenship in the UK.
I know both the UK and the US allow it, but I don't know if there is any particular form or anything that I might need to fill out, or if it's simply a case of getting the US citizenship approved and then voila, I have both.
Anyone experienced a similar situation?

Green card production ordered today!
That's a big weight lifted.
I like today. A lot.

Ok, was fine to take the electronics in, gave myself enough time to go back to the car but didn't need to in the end.
Went ok overall. Pretty standard questions, date/place of birth, parent's names, addresses, how we met, where we work etc.
Any ideas how long it usually takes to get a decision after the interview? I've seen of a couple of people that got decisions later the same day as the interview, but don't know if that's typical.

Not only we were able to take our cell phones inside the building, but we were able even to use them while waiting. Some other people even talked on the phones! I checked us in Facebook and took some pictures with the phone!
Ok, thanks. That's what I expected really, I'm just nervous all of a sudden.

Hey all, my green card interview is tomorrow, in Baltimore, and I was wondering if they stop you taking in anything with electronics in for example cellphone/ipod.
I ask as I know such items are restricted from the London US embassy, and don't want any holdups should we need to store our electronics back in our car?

My EAD card (combo EAD and AP) came yesterday. USPS made me nervous though, the tracking status was delivered but it was nowhere to be seen, thankfully the delivery guy pulled up a couple of hours later.
Now just to wait for my interview on the 2nd of May, and that's the last hoop to jump through, immigration wise anyway.
Now to get my SSN and drivers license sorted out. Such a relief that things are moving along.

EAD card production ordered and AP approved as of today. Hopefully the card doesn't take too long to arrive, as it would be great to get working again.

Some people don't get 1099 and some people don't get W2s. It all depends on where your income comes from.
W2- employee
1099- from pension, social security, investments, contractor income, IRA withdrawals
Ok, thanks, I really appreciate the quick response.

My wife, who is my I-130 petitioner, does not have enough income to be my only sponsor, so her mother is my joint-sponsor.
Now, I have all of the necessary documentation from my mother-in-law (completed i864, 1040, 1099, w2, proof of her citizenship), but not from my wife.
My wife doesn't have any form 1099 in her records, so my question is whether it's normal for her to not have any 1099 forms. She's a recent graduate, low income level, never been self-employed etc.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Got 4 notifications back yesterday.
1 said it was for fingerprinting, 1 for the I-130, 1 for the I-765, and 1 for the I-131.
Is it normal for there to not be one for the I-485, or is that actually the fingerprinting one?

Just had notification from USPS that my AOSpackage has arrived at the USCIS office in Chicago. Now for the waiting game.
I'm a little bit nervous, as I had a myriad of delays getting stuff together which has meant I'm now a couple months out of status as my VWP expired, but general consensus seems to be that shouldn't be an issue given I'm married to a US citizen.
Well, fingers crossed.

I'm going down the consular processing route, I'm married to a US citizen, and I'm about to send off my I-130 to get the process underway.
It seems unclear to me what to send with the I-130, and what to take to the interview.
At the moment we're following the instructions on the I-130 instruction pdf file from USCIS website, which includes the g-325 forms and evidence of relationship, along with the I-130.
Listed on the travel.state.gov website under "Required documentation" is stuff like passports, civil documents, and medical examination forms. Do these need to be sent off with the I-130, or do I take them to the interview at the embassy?

Your question was about intent, right? Like timsah said, from what I have gleaned you cannot be denied on intent alone.
I am actually in the same basic situation. My wife and I had been married for 5 years when we came over.
Yes, it was. I've also seen that mentioned, but with the ever changing situation I figured it was best to check to see if that was still the case.
Well, I won't be starting the process, so do let the forum know how you get on, and I shall keep an eye out for your posts. Good luck.

You won't be rejected if you have a real relationship and are not inadmissible in another way - ie are a criminal or lied at the border.
Oh, it's real. I wouldn't be going through the hassle of moving to the US if it wasn't.
Thanks for the advice.

If the OP decides to apply for AOS, they will enter a new period of authorized stay while the AOS is pending. They will show immigrant intent and will not be using the VWP or anything else in the near future, so your question would never come up. There would be no "next entry" without the GC.
By the underlined, do you mean I would face a ban if I was rejected?
-
Do you have a job offer?
There was a tentative offer by my wife's boss that he would employ me once I had a visa. I'm fairly confident he would take me on.
Do you think a written offer of employment would be enough to demonstrate a change of intent?
-
First off, I apologise if there is a past thread that has answered the following question, but I can't find it, given how awkward it is to specify all the variables involved, as well as the seemingly fluid rules and interpretations.
There are many threads regarding the possibility of AOS from VWP after an overstay, or if you go and marry unexpectedly while there, but not anything that I can find which clearly addresses couples that are already married when the foreign spouse enters the country on the VWP.
What are the issues regarding this, I am aware of the 'intent to immigrate' problems, but what reasons would be accepted as a change of intent? Perhaps a job offer?
Are there any other issues with it? How likely is such an applicant to be approved? Assuming the applicant has no other bars to entry i.e. no criminal record, no health issues, suitable financial sponsor, no previous bars to entry, easily provable bona fide marriage.... etc.
Is the likelihood of acceptance worth the financial risk of getting rejected?
