You never said if your wife lives here in the US or not!! Assuming that she doesn't live here in the US, you can file "married filing separately" and avoid applying for a ITIN number!
Example:
My wife has never been to the US, so I was confused and had the IRS in Austin, Texas prepare my 2011 taxes. The officer used the 1040 Form, filed my status as "married filing separately" and typed in the letters: NRA were you would have put Spouse's Social Security Number!
NRA means: (Non-Resident Alien)
Goodluck!
The IO asked whether my hubby has filed tax 2011 with my name during the interview today 11 April. My hubby changed the status to married with my name and SSN. You need this for interview otherwise, they might ask you to go to IRS to update. Anyway, the IO took the copy of all documents we submitted for tax. Everything was smooth and we got approved on the spot.

Thanks for sharing! Congrats! I can't wait for her turn for AOS! I know it will be a while but at least that's where we are heading!
You are from Hong Kong too?

Just received text and checked online that my card is under production. That was quick.

Hi, I would like to share my interview experience this morning, 11 April (adjusted from B2).
The interview was scheduled at 10:50 am and we walked in 5 mins late. That's OK, waited for 20 mins and my name was called.
The IO was very friendly, he made a copy of our drivers licences. He then questioned how we met, when we decided to get married. I have to story how we met since 2001, broke up in 2004, no contact between 2005 to 2010. We then met again because of a common friend and decided to get married last year. He wrote 2 pages of the whole story.
Then he asked us to submit joint papers (we provided utilities bills with my name on), he then asked my hubby if he has submitted Tax 2011 with me included, luckily, I brought copies. He asked us for photos to keep as records.
After so many questions, he took my I-94 and said that we have to submit I-751 in 2014 for permanent resident. He then printed out a copy and said that my application has been approved and I will receive the card in 30 days.
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.
Actually, the whole process was very friendly and relaxing. From my interview, I feel if all the documents requested were presented, everything is very easy.
Here are my timeline:
16 Nov : Sent I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131, I-693, I-864
17 Nov : Package delivered
18 Nov : Received text confirmation
22 Nov : Received I-797C (4 notices)
3 Dec : Received I-797C for Bio scheduled for 16 Dec
16 Dec : Bio
21 Feb : Called USCIS to check status as no news for EAD +90 days
6 Mar : Card production for EAD
12 Mar : Received text confirmation mailed out for EAD
14 Mar : Received Combo card EAD/AP
15 Mar : Apply SSN
19 Mar : Received SSN
11 Apr : Interviewed approved on the spot

OK!
Thanks a lot for your answers. I just wanted to make sure not to get in trouble after our honeymoon
Hi, this is very useful as I will be travelling with AP soon.
I would like to know when you left US, did the airline take away your expired I-94?
Normally, they will take it away. Do we need to keep the expired one for the interview?
Thanks.

You already called USCIS, so I think you should wait for 14 days as they said.
After that, if nothing happen, you may request and infopass to their office though.
For your information, I am adjusting from B2 too. I sent AOS file on November 14th, I got my EAD approval on day 66th.
Good luck! (F)
Thanks for sharing. Have you received EAD card just in mail or with email as well?
-
I sent my AOS/EAD/AP on the 29th November and was expecting a 3 months time-frame which would be near the end of February. Instead I got a letter with an appointment for the bio metrics on the beginning of February and some days later (less than 2 weeks) I got a combo card with EAD and AP. AOS is still processing and a few months away. So you're probably on your way give or take a couple of weeks.
Hope it all goes well
I think it's a bit different because you have applied under K1 visa. Thanks for sharing.

Hi,
I have sent my AOS (adjusted from B2) on 17 November 2011. Bio on 16 December and I have not received EAD until now. I called USCIS last week and they said they will send a request to check and email me back an answer after 14 days.
Does it take that long for EAD? It already took 90 days and yet nothing.
Any comments would be welcomed.
Thanks.
