  1. Hi Everyone,

My German FI and I sent in our I-129F papers and filed for the K1 visa February 27th and I promise we sent everything AND MORE! Now I know, I made an EXTREMELY rookie mistake and didn't listen to my FI when se said "make 2 copies of everything!" I was going though other problems at that time and my mind was too occupied and I know that is no excuse. I still have all the proof; pictures, plane tickets, engagment ring and wedding band reciept, etc. And I have SOME of the written out papers such as my letter of intent and my G-325A...I guess my question is, if it is not EXACTLY identical to the first set of papers, will they deny us? I know this may just be me over worrying and I keep trying to convince myself that everything will work out because once he goes in for an interview, they will know that we really are in love and really planning on getting married in December.

If anybody can help me with this, that would be great!

    -Katie

Maybe others are pros at this or something, I don't know how many times they have done this process. (You would think most are doing this for the first and last time.) My original petition gets sent out and I am supposed to send a copy to my Fiance as well and I have one for myself. I don't see how it is not necessary to make copies. It is a high risk to do this process with out a single copy.

  2. I have a general question. Does anyone know the methods used in processing a specific I-129F petition? Do they categorize them in a specific way? I guess what I want to know is why or how does a petition get approved faster than another, if filed and opened at the same time? Does age of the parties involved matter or is it based on who's previously married or who has kids? What would cause a petition to get approved in 3 months while others are still pending? Hope my overall question is clear. thanks for any insight.

I would like to say I did read the very first post, which was very helpful. But I also noted it is from 2009 so I want to verify that those responses to the questions are still fair and valid today. Thanks.
