  1. I know what SLEC states is required on their website; appointment confirmation letter (page from online) and/or NVC Instruction Letter (this is for the CR/IR-1) - each will have the MNL # on it

NVC is very good about responding to emails with the MNL #.

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov (I found NVC to be very quick responding to emails)

    REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:

You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

    * NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).

    * Petitioner's name and date of birth.

( NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth. )

    * Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.

Thanks! I just sent them an email. :)

  2. Hello everyone! Our I-129F petition was approved on February 4th and we got the NOA2 hardcopy on Feb. 8. I just called NVC and was advised that they haven't received our case yet from USCIS and that it will take 15 business days. In most timelines i've seen, NVC received their case from USCIS in less than 10 days. I'm just curious... is it common to wait that long? How long did it take NVC to assign you a MNL #? And will the petitioner receive further updates about the case via mail/ email? Thanks!

  3. Hi! I applied for my passport last July and here are the infos I can share. You should set an appointment. I brought the original NSO copy of my birth certificate and NBI clearance. They asked me for an additional ID, but I'm not a student nor employed so they just ask if I have an old company ID (fortunately I have one). In my case, postal ID was not accepted.

As for the digitized TIN card... I went to the BIR office in Pasig to get a TIN card (also last year), but the one I got was made out of brown cardboard instead of the digitized card. This got me confused so I had to ask the clerk if that is the new one and she said yes. The digitized ID was an old one according to her and that the one that I got is the new one. DFA didn't honor the cardboard-type TIN card.

  4. Hi! I agree, go ahead and file now. The evidence you have is enough to prove that you have met within the 2-year requirement. Looks like you also have a lot as proof for your ongoing relationship. Filing now will save you 2-3 months of waiting instead of waiting 'til March. Your visit to your fiancee in March will be very substantial to strengthen your evidence of ongoing relationship for the interview, though a lot of members here in VJ got approved even if their significant others only visited once. Btw, don't forget to include a copy of all pages of your passport on your I-129F packet. Good luck to the both of you and its nice that you'll get to visit her again.

  5. Hi! I just want to share my experience about getting a passport. So I brought my NSO-authenticated birth certificate (I requested a copy online), NBI clearance, TIN card (she needs to know where her employer filed the taxes and go to that BIR satellite office and get the ID/ card for free and she'll need to pick it up after 5 days) and Philhealth ID (got it the same day). At first they asked me if I have other ID's like school, company or postal ID. Luckily I brought my old school ID. That's all they asked and I got my passport after 2 weeks. She can use a postal ID since she already got one. Was she able to keep an old company ID? About the SSS card, yes, it takes 3-6 months to get it. Hope this helps. Good luck!
