EMS delivered CR-1 and CR-2 visas. The odd is, copies of wife's and son's DS-230 forms included in ems package. Should they be in the sealed envelope?
-
But I have an English course waiting for her in America and I am continuing to learn Mandarin each week.

Could you please share with me the kind of English course for your fiance? My lady knows only a few English words.

No Worry, La.
This is common with EP casefiles.
thanks Darnell. Did recall you replied the similar question raised by someone, seems the answer sunk deep cannot find it. Thanks for the confirmation!

Wife got a successful interview, visa approved. But VO never asked wife to sign the DS-230 PART II. Anyone knows where and when shall wife sign the form? Should I contact GuangZhou embassy on this?

thanks Darnell & Saylin, visa approved.

HI all, finally received my Noa2.
Now I am trying to understand the procedure at NVC. And after reading the links in the first page I got a few confusions. Here is what I think I should do, thanks for any help!
1. after a week of Noa2 date, start calling NVC until I get a NVC case #, then ask for the Invoice # and give them both email addresses.
2. I should receive the DS 3032 in my email? And I should email it back with "OPTIN .." in the subject to join the EP??
Here I am confused because when I read this:
http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing
in the "Speedbumps..." it says: "...If you call in to NVC, to get your GUZ case number, the Tele-Operators are trained (for paper processing ) to send you a DS-3032 kit. This kit consists of a non-fillable DS-3032 in PDF format, a fee bill for 70 bucks, and a barcode thing. IT'S OK TO PAY THIS BILL ONLINE, but do not do anything with the DS-3032 that you receive. It's the wrong one."
What does this mean?
a) Where am I supposed to get the "good" DS 3032?
b) when am I suppose to enroll EP for Guangzhou? I read if I do it at the wrong time may cause "significant delay".
3. in the mean time I should receive email about some AOS bill and probably IV bill and I will just pay them.
Thanks everybody.
What I did was this: 1) call to get GUZ number, and give mine and wife's email addresses, and ask operator to email us the AOS Fee Bill and the DS-2032 form. 2) When received DS-2032 email, OPT IN.

They usually won't, and didn't for my wife. If you're doing EP, I would suggest submitting key relationship evidence with your IV Package to be sure it gets to GUZ before your interview.
Emailed NVCElectronic@state.gov the bona fide marriage documents in one big PDF shortly after I sent out the DS-230 PDF. Do you think GuangZhou will have the bona fide documents?

Drive nearby town, have lots of copy of your resume and then, every business establishment you think might give you job, stop by and handle your resume. It doesn't matter if they have opening or no, just handle your resume. Hopefully you'll get job.
Goodluck. Don't do your option one. Don't lose hope. God Bless.
The best advice, I recommend this.

I am doing EP. Since GuangZhou split the interview into two phases: document intake and interview. Should my wife give bona fide evidence during document intake or the bona fide receipts etc should be with my wife when actual interview occurs?

I and my wife share the same family name. My stepson does not feel good using his current family name. So, my question is, after my stepson in usa, how can we change his family name to his mothers (also mine)? I understand we may not be able to change his family name in Green Card and his passport, and would be happy if his family name can be changed and he can use his new family name in school and in SSN without troubles in ROC and obtaining his citizenship processes. Any advice? Has anyone did this?

Hello all,
My fiancee and son went to the GUZ consulate today for document intake. My fiancee was interrogated by a Chinese worker at the consulate asking her why she wanted to marry an American, and a couple of other "off-putting" questions.
It's ridiculous and offensive for a worker asking this kind of questions.

Hello all,
My fiancee and son went to the GUZ consulate today for document intake. My fiancee was interrogated by a Chinese worker at the consulate asking her why she wanted to marry an American, and a couple of other "off-putting" questions. However, we believe that all is well. Her appointment letter was stamped with instructions to "Please return interview at 7:30AM tomorrow. We are all wondering about a green circular sticker with a dark black line running across the diameter of the sticker. The sticker was attached to the letter after their biometrics were completed. Most of the people got the same sticker, but some a green circular sticker with no black line. We are wondering if there is any significance or cause for alarm????
Any input is appreciated.....
Hi A&B, my wife and step son are going to have interview on July 2, 2012. I would like to know are your fiance and son interviewed together or they are interviewed separately?

From feedbacks and research results, I think medical exam may take up to 3 days for cases like mine: wife + 9 years old kid. This may hold true to Beijing, GuangZhou and designated hospitals in other cities alike. Hope this info helps others too.

I want to ask u from guyz that after case has completed to nvc . Do they send letter to applicant also?

Thanks. Could she use IRS tax return transcripts instead of sending all the originals? Also could she send copies of all the doc she has send to IRS for her income tax? Please let me know if the IRS transcript is sufficient.
I am self employed, i sent copies of 1040, schedule C, and 1040X for 2011 (tax transcript not ready due to delay in processing ITIN). For 2010: Tax Transcript + Schedule C.

My daughter just got her done on Monday. She is only 10 years old and only needed one shot and a TB test. With the TB test, you get your skin pierced and have to come back 2 days later for them to view the results of the skin test. So, we were there Monday morning, came back Wednesday morning for the TB test results, and returned to pick up the medical exam results Wednesday at 3:30pm. I recommend doing it early in case something comes up!
As a FYI, the Guangzhou clinic opens at 7:30, we arrived at 7:45. They were still setting up so they were fully staffed until around 8:00am. I recommend coming in around 8:20 or so if you don't get there before 7:30 since that is when they finished the people that were there before 7:30 waiting for them to open. Not too many people showed up between 7:30 and 8:00. Good luck!
Thx for the info! looks like we really need to schedule multiple days to get this medical exam done.

Cannot find an answer on "does it take one day or two days to get medical exam done in Beijing?" Some suggests vaccination takes two days, some says one day. Is it something related to age and gender? Wife: 35, son 9 years old. Please advise ...
-
Just a heads up. We received Packet 4 for the K1 visa as an e-mail directing us to the Consulate website for forms and information we would need. It says they will not mail a paper version.
Is that new?
We are the same day!, see you GuangZhou!
-
OMG - the letter arrived.
July 2nd is document intake day.
July 3rd is the actual interview day.
Thx. Only glitch in the whole process is, missed your the $88 comments, ended up Uncle Sam got a nice bonus. Now focus is on the land of dumplings dancing up and down!
-
No she hasn't.
Then a letter from mother will only make things worse, my feeling.

From Interview Letter: """An immigrant visa interview has been scheduled for the applicant at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in GUANGZHOU ELECTRONIC on July 2, 2012 at 12:30 pm."""
I think this July 2, 2012 is document intake date. Actual interview occurs on July 3, 2012. Am I reading correctly? Please advise.

GuangZhaou EP: got P4/Interview Letter, interview date: July 2, 2012, 12:30PM for both wife and son! Overall, the whole process is wonderful and smooth with this VJ, and Darnell and Saylin's assistance!!! Thanks a lot to all friends here!
