No, not yet. We just filed for his work visa and other greencard forms last week so hopefully will get the work visa soon so he can start looking for a job. Welcome to the USA!

Anis has the visa in hand!!!!!!! Thanks be to God! We will be together soon (May 31st).

Oh the waiting is torture. Anis is in the embassy to pick up his visa and I'm just sitting on pins and needles waiting for the call that he has it in his hand.

Anis is at the embassy now with the corrected police certificate. I'm praying we get that visa!!!!

Anis is done with his interview and it went great. He must provide a clean police certificate from when he was in Qatar then he can get the visa. He did not say the word approved but he did say as long as the police report is clean (which of course it will be) then come back any day between 1 and 2 to turn it in and then he can get the visa. So, I'm taking this as an Approved with an * but still cautious because you never know what this embassy will do.

Looks like our packet was sent to the embassy electronicly on the 9th of March but has not been processed by them yet. We will wait to here from them.

Yes, it is very expensive! I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions as soon as we get the note from the embassy that they have received our packet.
