  1. Well, I have sent my RFE package about 5 weeks ago and checked the website today for updates.

Card Was Ordered To Be Produced

On April 30, 2015, we ordered your new card

I don't have it yet, but I'm confident this will finally be over. To be honest, I didn't fear this process, but it was lengthy for sure.

Website updates didn't work, operators had no clue. All you can do is wait...

I should be good for 10 years now :-)

  2. I am adding documents as we speak:

    • The deed of the house we purchased a few days after our arrival in the USA (bill of sale was included with the application).
    • The birth certificates of our children
    • The Federal tax Return (1040) 2013 with W2’s.
    • Copy of current Automobile insurance on both names.
    • The home insurance for our home xxxxxx
    • Original and copies of complete bank statement of Bank xxxx
      • February 2015
      • December 2014
      • June 2014
      • December 2013
      • May 2013
      • December 2012
    • Immunization exemption form for both children.
    • School Entry Health Exam, stating my husband as the parent of our daughter, signed by the MD.
    • Health care information of family members
    • Cosigned 2015 contract with CPA office, with retainer request.
    • Current City of xxxxxxxx utility bill of 02/09/2015.
    • Past and future travel itinerary receipts:
      • Our family travel itinerary for this summer (2015) to xxxxxxxxxx
      • xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxt February (2015)
      • xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx in October 2013

Taxes 2014 is not an option as I will file later this summer after I filed taxes in my home country.

Would the above be sufficient. If not, will there be an interview? I don't fear one as we have been a couple for 22 years.

  3. Bummer, I received a RFE.

I had the impression I sent enough evidence, but clearly they thought otherwise.

I sent in beside the check, F I-751 and list of residences:

    • Copy of front and back Permanent Resident Card.
    • Copy of passport.
    • Copy of both of our driver’s licenses.
    • Copy of joint 2012 tax return.
    • Copy of our joint checking acct. statement.

    • Copies of bill statements in both of our names.

    -City of xxxxxxx Utility Bill

-Florida Power & Light (FPL) Utility Bill

    • Copy of Bill of Sale from the house that we own, that shows that my wife and I both own it jointly.
    • Copy of the car’s insurances ID card showing both of our names.
    • Copies of Citizens insurance policy for the house.

Their response is that we didn't show joint financial responsability or joint residence.

I mainly have the impression did need to catch up with work and didn't read the dossier.

    I will send atdditionally:

-Deed of the house (double proof as they have the bill of sale)

-Birth certificates of children (which they received when I applied 2 years ago)

    -Joint 1040 2013 with all W2's.

    -Copy of house insurance

-Detailed transaction information of Bank accounts

Is there anything else I can provide?

  4. I'm still without any news. I didn't bother to call also as I assume one day I will find something in the mailbox.

If this continuous, it would be faster to go for citizenship.

Technology is going really well today. The website doesn't allow me to edit my own post and I tried to call to USCIS for a status update, which gives me the same error message all over. "You have entered enough digits" bla bla bla.

I tried calling with the cell and with Skype.Whenever I have to enter my receipt # it claims that I a missing digits, even though I entered all 10 of them.

Back to waiting for the mail man.

  5. Congrats to all of you who were approved! Best of luck with the final journey towards your new life.

I'd like to thank all those who were so patient enough to help us out during this quest. We couldn't have done it without this site and it's wonderful memebers.

In the mean time, here in Belgium, things are evolving. I've informed my employer of me leaving, the house is for sale, the kids and school are informed and the POE is know, Fort Lauderdale, Fl on august 10!

    Good luck and many thanks!

  6. Congrats on the approval. Had you sorted out the domicile issue before the interview or were they not worried about it?

We sorted it out, I guess :)

I received a checklist for it and we sent a an explanation letter on the situation plus an affidavit for the use of the house of my parents in the US and a copy of the property tax.

They accepted it, but it came all down to the decision of the vice consul.

  7. Mr. & mrs. knockse were approved today at the Brussels embassy!!!

They checked the case thoroughly to see if all documents were present, the whole procedure was explained clearly and they also told us what to do to lift the temp green card after 2 years.

The interview was done by the vice-consul of the embassy. the was no doubt about the status of the relation, but he did check the assets once more. We did the whole procedure with only assets. The interview itself took about 15 minutes and was quite pleasant. The whole embassy thing took about 1.5h to complete.

a week ago we called NVC to ask about our case, and so they do said its done and they are fallowing the case to the embassy here in Algeria, but we still didn't heard anything yet from them! since they always used to send us emails about our case.

i want to know when NVC will contact us?! and when i will become an email to have my interview!

Don't worry, look at some timelines and you will notice it can take up to several weeks before a date is set.
