Received my card in the mail today

Congrats to those approved & good luck to those waiting!

You were given one because for some reason they thought you might not go back to Canada. So now you have to go back no later than the date they gave you. When you do go back make sure you stop on the US side first and hand that in to them, do not trust the Canadian border to hand that in for you, they wont. Trust me been there done that.

You can still apply for a fiancé visa, but for some reason the border is keeping an eye on you, so be on the up and up with them and do what they say.

On June 10, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

You have to put bio appointment # on uscis website to track your case.NOA # does not work.

Oh thank you says its still in initial review. That's what I expected, the file not found was a little shocking

I have received the 1 year extension and biometrics, haven't heard anything else. Today I put my receipt number in the uscis web site and it says my file cant be found at this time???

So weird that they would include that little clause on the letters for people who it will not apply to. Imagine being a non-native English speaker? It would 10x as confusing.

Reviewed my copied file of the original I-751 and documents from before I sent it in. Since I copied and arranged each page individually, and I have the copy of the "missing" page with no original anywhere, I can conclude that yes - USCIS may just have made a paper airplane out of my page 3 and then asked for a new one... "oh, and while you're at it could you re-sign page 5?" LOL!

It doesn't say how to get the letter, just that we would need to send supporting documents... which I sent with the original application. I'm not too worried, but it's bizarre,

They will send the letter in 1 to 2 weeks.

Hmmm my letter is upstairs , maybe reread that about conditional residents not getting a letter. Think that is for those who are serving out of the country or something cant remember off hand.

Hey, here's another question. They made a mark on the first page of the actual application. Should I re-do the whole thing, or just add the missing page?

No just add the missing page mine had marks and staples and they had it binded together at the top with a special clip...the only thing I added was the letter they sent me , it said to include it on top.

Maybe I'll just void it and send a new one. Delays would be very uncool!

If they just stamped the back for deposit , its okay you can send it back. I had my whole package sent back because I sent it 2 days too early , they already had it binded in their little binders and the cheque was stamped. I just sent the whole thing back the way it was and it was fine.

Update Darnell....I went in on Monday and I asked her to check my name and nothing, my husband still insisted that I file so bah i did.I asked the lady whats going to happen if all of a sudden my other application shows up and she said then it wont get issued. I was like now it could take me months to my husband but......lo and behold I got it today....how crazy

Call the dhl location that you will be picking it up at and see if they hold packages ... then if yes, after the interview wait for the email from them and then call and request they hold it for you....

Good Just make sure to grap that application - as Darnell says - if it doesn't go through. Otherwise you're going to be stuck in a pending situation where you can't do anything but wait maybe a month for an answer without being able to apply at a different location.

Crazy is a definition I dislike using about people I don't know. But if she was wrong - indeed, genau and yes sir. A green card holder is fully authorized to work, you just need to bring the proof that you are.

stop using the telephone with SSA - they are mostly idiots.

You need a different set of idiots, alas..

Get into your local SSA office with yer passport and fill out a SSA-5 form,

then ask the clerk to look you up in the SAVE database using yer VISA name .

If not found with the VISA name, ask to be looked up in the VISA NUMBER.

If not found, stop. Retract your application from the clerk's fingers,

and come back in a week, try again.
