  1. got my AOS package sent by my husband yesterday,.how long will i hear an update from nvc then? I am preparing for my ds-230 form..from the question 31a about who will accompany me to the US named in 10 and 14.,do i need to write down my son cause i wrote him in no.14 ? but an operator from the nvc said i dnt need to write him since we have different visa, and he will not use my visa neither i..so put an N/A..is that so?? :bonk:

  2. On the instructions of the form I-864W says:"Intending immigrant is a child who will become a U.S.citizen immediately upon entry under the Child

Citizenship Act of 2000 (CCA)". Under the CCA, some

children become U.S. citizens immediately upon admission

to the United States or adjustment of status to that of a

lawful permanent resident. For this classification to apply:

    1.)At least one parent of the child is a U.S. citizen;

2.)The child is under 18 years of age at the time of

    admission or adjustment of status.

3.)The child is residing permanently in the United States in

the legal and physical custody of the U.S. parent.

    I don`t understand the part 3.

    The question is:

my son has a U.S.citizen parent (who has lived all his life in U.S.) and my son is under 18 years of age (he is 4 years), but my son is living with me in venezuela( he is intending inmigrant with me to the U.S) , Can my husband fill the form I-864W for our son yet? or I-864? thanks in advance!

Does the Father of the child need to be a born US citizen or can he be a US citizen by naturalization? because my husband was born here in philippines and just acquired his US citizenship last year, will our child be a US citizen upon admission ?

  3. yup yup

however - the AOS fee bill will show up on EACH intending immigrant (by casefile #)

    IF

the two casefiles are not joined up at NVC.

It's a simple thing to request that the two casefiles be joined up, married together,

but it does take some time for this to happen,

    as

there's always a queue, this one bit requires a human on a keyboard.

I just got my aos bill invoiced and paid it online yeterday..Will i still need to wait for my son's AOS bill invoiced or was he included in my AOS bill fee since he is my dependent? :bonk:

  4. Its not exactly he told us that our case is been completed, what he told us is, when we ask for the status or update, he said we are "APPROVED", and just looking for a date for my interview.IS that mean when he said were APPROVED, means that our case is been completed?

Hi im from the PI too..I just got my AOS Fee bill invoiced today..i would love to hear updates from you on when will your interview date be, cause i dont have an idea about the waiting time here in the Manila US Embassy..hope we get our interview dates sooner than MAY.. :help:

  5. The first response you received is incorrect. You are both the petitioner and sponsor. Fill out your own I-864 accurately. You can skip all the asset related questions. The "only joint sponsor" fills out their own I-864 and if their income alone is sufficient, may also leave blank all the asset related question. Just as the form says, those are optional if income is sufficient.

Even if you live with your grandmother, she would not use the I-864a, as you are not combining your income with hers.

I take it you are in a CR1 visa process, not K3. The I-864 is not used for the K3 visa.

He is the petitioner but no, grandma doesn't use the I-864a.

I have a question here; my husband will be the main petitioner and my sister in law will be a joint sponsor, my husband lives in here sisters house, will my sister use I-864a or the I-864?

  7. You can find the I-864 instructions here: I-864 Instructions.pdf If they want a "hard copy" print it for them.

All forms and instructions for this process can be found online.

The AVR has been down pretty much all month. It's a bummer.

I need to ask you if you can send me a link where i can show it off to my sister inlaw who insist that she still wants to receive a hardcopy before she proceed on getting her financial documents as a joint sponsor for our AOS package.. :bonk:

  8. I use FoxIt Reader (not Adobe Acrobat) and print to pdf using CutePDF all the time.

Perhaps you can change yer tools, soonish?

once the invoice is in someone's email inbox, NVC online web portal is ready, waiting for the login.

No Need to wait till Monday.

    Good Luck !

Yes! My husband paid our AOS fee bill awhile ago..hoepfully i can get the receipt the soonest time..Is that what i need to enclose in the AOS Package or the barcoded AOS FEE bill invoice they sent me in the mail? cause it has a barcode also..

  9. The AOS fee is only paid once per case. It's the IV bill that is paid per applicant.

As for the DS-3032 question, go read the FAQ on post 2, I answered that exact question :P

Yes i will read them thanks again saylin! Got a problem regarding my sister-inlaw which happen to be my husbands joint sponsor. she insisted that we still need to receive a hardcopy for instructions before she sign and completes the I-864 form..

  10. Grats! You can pay it whenever, but NVC will only process it during the week when they're open. If your husband has the money, tell him to pay it asap!!

Thanks saylin! i will ask him to pay the bill when he gets home from work later. Do we need to pay a separate AOS fee for my son? cause i was the only being invoiced to.. I received the DS-3032 together with the AOS bill, do i need to sign it and mail it back to them? i already sent an DS-3032 form for me and my son with the template which you've provided on the first part of this thread..im confused, need your help :bonk:

  11. As I've seen elsewhere, you will be able to log in tomorrow. Apparently NVC is in the process of uploading your information and you cannot get into that portal while it is in that mode. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the info..i was a bit shocked and bit confused from the prompt that says my case is in the process of termination..thanks for this thread and to saylin, this is helping me alot...especially when i lose hope... :star:

  12. I am updating myself in the payment portal but when i signed in last night a prompt appears and it says this way..This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.--i called the NVC and they told me the case is active, but why did i got this kind of message and i cant open the invoice payment..help me with this please.

  13. Hi everyone,

I received my NOA2 on the 16th of March and although it hasn't been a week from it yet, I call NVC once a day to see if my file is with them. Every operator asks my notice date and tells me to call in 15 work days. Do you guys give a different NOA2 date to get an answer? Or are there angelic operators who give you info regardless of your NOA2 date?

I'm sorry if this question was asked before. I've been reading the thread for like an hour but gave up after the 90th page or something :innocent:

Hi there, i suggest u just provide them your USCIS receipt number..with that they can even provide you the exact date when they received your case in the NVC..just be patient..my NOA2 was approved 7th of march and just got my son's case number today which took 15 days before i got his NVC case number...goodluck then hopefully we'll be out from the NVC with all our cases completed this early part of april so we can go through with the interview and medical... :innocent:

  14. Hello all VJ'ers!

I am currently at the NVC stage and my husband has filed the I-130 for me plus two other ones for each of my children. NVC has given us three case # and I have asked before if it would be necessary to send three DS-230. I actually assume it would because there will be three IV bills payments and three barcoded coversheets generated. Anyways, my husband just called NVC and they told him that just mine DS-230 is enough. He called again and another operator informed that there has to be three...

Has anyone else gone through NVC with family members before? If so could you guys please shed some light here?

BTW, my kids are 8 and 5 years old, so I am also assuming I will have to sign DS-230 part I for them if it will be three DS-230. Please help!!!

Got the same problem here..my son and got an NOA2 approved 7th of March..our case was received in the NVC 12th of march, ive got my NVC case number right away and yet until now they didnt get in the system my son's case..is this really happening? dont have the same case done in the same time? my husband is preparing for our AOS? does he need to make two different AOS for us? i heard about form I-864W, will it apply to my son? my husband is a US citizen...what are the criterions/requirements to qualify for an I-864W for a child? i need a lot of help here..thanks a lot ive been updated here

    :bonk:
