    Uma is from Bali and I am from Houston where we first met. After we got to know each other, we fell in love and became engaged. Several months later, she came to the US again and we celebrated our wedding in Medford, Oregon where most of our family lives. Now, like many of you, we are wating for our Visa application to be processed.

    Tourist Visa: I talked with an Immigration Officer at LAX about my wife's Tourist Visa and pending I-130 application. He said, "Your wife can use her Tourist Visa so long as she can convince the Immigration Officer that she will be returning to her native country. The most convincing evidence are a return air flight ticket and an existing job.
