Well My fiancee as some of you know had her interview on Dec. 6th. It went well, but she had her passport stolen two days prior to the interview so they asked her to bring that back to them as well as a document of family record or something of that nature. So yesterday she went back. They took the passport and documents and looked them over and asked her about five questions. One of which I found odd. They asked if her fiance believed in Christ :/ So, after the questions she was told they would be in touch yet again. I'm concerned. I don't know why it is taking this many trips. I just hope for the best.

It appears that my fiancee passed her interview. She had her passport stolen just a few days ago. So she re-applied for a new one and just had to explain at interview. So, they told her to come back with passport and also to bring something called a "family statistics paper". Has anyone any opinions on the family stats paper? I never remember this being requested in the packet? Anyway. She was interviewed and it appears good with the two things needing be addressed. I'm thrilled if this is what it seems to be

First of all, would like to say sorry to hear this happened to her, but I'm glad that she is fine.

I think she has her police report so the consulate would understand about her situation.

She can get a new passport as soon as how much money you dare to spend. She can get new passport done in 1 day but it costs around 500$.

My suggestion is go to make new passport now (pay for the one that could be done in 1 week or earlier) and bring her police report to the embassy for her interview.

She might get reschedule appointment...sorry to say that but expect the unexpected.

Thanks for the advice. It's working out just like you and the other advised so I think it will be ok. She wont have it in time for interview though as that will be on the 6th

She should go to the interview as scheduled and explain the situation. I'm sure she is in the process of obtaining a replacement passport which she can submit to the Embassy at an appropriate time..

Unbelievable !! Just got off the phone with my fiancee. She was riding her moto and someone snatched her bag that contained her passport in it because she had carried it with her to pick up her police records for her interview that is on Nov 6!!!!! What do I do???? she's getting a police report as I type now. Interview is a couple days away

interview was december 28. I was in phnom penh for three weeks. Sorry for saying first of Jan, i'm kinda mind boggled from all this at the moment. Now, what do i do is the question.

If I am not mistaken they charge $630 for you to appeal. New I-129f $340....

Still you need to wait for your "official" notice to know the actual details and options.

Thank you, and do you have any knowledge of which would be a better way as for speed of process and success rate in the end? I'm sure that depends on complexity of each case but just asking. I didn't know about the 630, so thanks for that tid bit for sure.

Hello everyone, My fiance and I had the interview the first of January. I have an attorney and everything looked good to me. But, they called us a sham and denied our visa. I'm very depressed that this happened. My question is this. Should I, and Can I go ahead and re-apply for K1. Or, should I wait this thing out to see if I can appeal with any success. I don't even know exactly why it happened. How, or can I find out exactly why. I did go with her to the interview and probably shouldn't have. We had ample phone records, and proof of meeting and relationship. However, only phone records. no facebook, no skype etc.. So now I have skype and facebook to add to our evidence next time. I did previously have a fiance visa pass for another girl but this was about 5 years ago. She came to usa and just couldn't stay for saddness of being away from her family. So, she showed up and wrote a letter and signed it during this denial for me. Very nice of her. And was even willing to go talk to embassy. embassy did keep her letter but didn't want to talk with her. I don't know if my prior fiance was the reason, or if my fiance just messed up in the interview. Anyway, what to do now. I'm lost. do I just send a new 129 in now, or wait. Help please. Randal
