  1. Okay, my fiancé arrived Sept 8th and we were married on Oct 25. According to her passport she would have to leave December 6. Her Adjustment of Status was sent and I received notice the USCIS accepted it on November 24 via text but we haven't received I-797 in the mail yet. We have gotten her SSN and we opened a bank account. Today we went to get her State ID (We live in Arizona) and had no issues except the ID they gave her expires on December 6. Really? Today is the 3rd so her ID is good for 3 days? This brought up some concerns. Has this happened to anyone else? Any insight would be great. We thought everything was on track but now I am concerned since her visa does expire on the 6th.

    Thanks

  2. As a final update my Lady went back the next day early and got in line. She had my tax documents ready as well as everything but the kitchen sink. No issues and the second person she talked to didn't even request anything other then the basic documents - CRAZY!!! Anyway, it's all done and my future wife is flying home this Sunday. I can't wait. Thank you for all of your help and positive comments.

  3. Thanks. My lady is going back tomorrow - thank goodness she lives is Cebu. This time she will bring all of here documents including my Tax return and the letter of intent that I will marry her when she arrives. I hope everything works out this time - come on!

  4. Wow, I got to tell you every step we take trying to get my Lady home is like pulling teeth! So my lady goes to the CFO class today and after checking out the website and the information here we think and hope we have everything in order including the questions to the ones which trip people up - My landline telephone number, My Birth certificate, My education background, and my parents middle names for Christ sake. But that's not enough they want proof I am not married - really?, I didn't see that question anywhere - so just my luck. Anyway luckily my lady has my 2012 tax return and it clearly shows I filed single - if this isn't enough I don't know what is. I am really hoping no more issues and we can just get this done. She will be going back tomorrow so please wish us luck!

  5. Wow, what a journey this is and it never seems to end. My lady and I have applied for the K1 visa from the Philippines and everything is done - we hope. On the ustraveldocs site there is a place to track your passport. While we were in AP on the CEAC website I would check this site and it was say "in post."

Now that we are issued on the CEAC website the tracking says "'There is no status update available for the passport number submitted."

What does this mean? Is it being transferred from the embassy to the courier service? Any help or insight would be great.

    Thanks

  6. This basic issue is happening to us as well. My lady had her interview on Aug 12. checking the CEAC website on the 15 said "READY". On the 16 went to AP. My lady was told she was approved at the interview and they took her passport. She wasn't issued a 221G. On Aug 22 the status went from AP back to "READY". On Aug 27 the status was updated again but still said "READY" What is going on?! Can we please be done already!!!

If anyone has any insight I would really like to know. Thanks.

  7. My lady had her interview on Aug 12 was told she was approved and they took her passport. Checked the CEAC website a few days later and on Aug 15 said Ready, then on Aug 16 AP. been like that since. I know the embassy has been closed since Friday due to flooding so I hope by Thursday when it reopens this will change. Several other people my lady made friends in the waiting room with her have already received their visa which makes this all the more frustrating - however they did pick theirs up. Come on, please hurry!

  8. Well another update - nothing new. I know the embassy is closed but we are very frustrated as the friends my lady made while at her interview are texting her saying they received it already. this really sucks. I don't know why this is happening, all of our documents were good and my lady didn't have any issues during the interview. I know there is nothing to do but wait but come on!

  9. We are going through the very same thing. My lady had her interview on Aug 12 and had no issues, being verbally told she was approved. I check the CEAC website on Aug 15 and it said “ready” then on the 16 it was changed to AP. I, am also very, very stressed and don’t know what to think. My Lady made a friend while waiting and she got her visa yesterday… AHHHH!!! Nothing to do but wait and pray. I may call the Embassy at the end of the week if nothing changes.

  10. I think we are in trouble and I'm very confused. My fiancé had her interview at the Manila embassy last Monday (aug 12). Everything went fine we thought and at the end they told her, her visa was approved and took her passport. She made arrangements for the courier and left. I checked the CEAC website yesterday just to see what, if anything was going on as we are very excited for her to come home. We are completing a k1 visa. I found on the web under status say admin processing.... Oh no!! I was going to call the embassy and see if I could find anything out but I don't know what the issue to be. I just want my lady to come home and any help would be great. Thanks p

  11. So here it is. I may have jumped the gun so a little help would be nice. We have gotten past our NOA2 and I called the National Visa Center a few days later and they said everything was good forwarding my case to Manila - Yea! So having the case number in hand I made arrangements for my lady to travel to Manila on Tuesday - of course the ticket for the flight is nonrefundable. Today I was thinking does she need anything from the National Visa Center showing it was assigned a case number. I don't know as I haven't received anything in the mail. My lady tomorrow is going to pay the Visa fee and I hope this takes care of any concerns I have. So I guess I am just asking am I right. Once she pays the visa fee (tomorrow) she can schedule her interview (At least 4 hours later) and then go and get her medical exam done as long as she as the visa fee receipt? Does she need anything else?

    Thanks for you help

  12. Hello all, an update from my last post. My girls NBI came back and it's all good - yea! But now of course there are other problems and I have some new questions.  My girl has never gotten a philhealth card or SSS card in the Philipinnes and for years has been using a postal ID to get around (she has worked as a live in nanny forever and never needed anything other then the postal ID).  When she went to apply for her passport she was told she needed the philhealth card, a SSS and even a student ID to apply, and the kicker is she was told it will take 3-4 months to get these, and then a another month for the student ID - ouch!!  She got real confused and frustrated and of course I'm back home and no help at all.  My question this time is are these time frames real?  Was she told the right information? Are there any other ways to get these documents quicker or am I just stuck and have to wait?  Any insight about would be great.  My girl has zero experience with this stuff and is just relaying what she is told.  Thanks in advance for your help.

  13. Hello all.

Well my Fiancé and I started the journey of bringing her home (USA) so we can get married and wouldn’t you know it right out of the gate we ran into a problem. My Fiancé went to get her NBI clearance yesterday and got a “hit”. Now she got her police clearance completed and no issues came up so she was surprised this hit came back. She was told to come back in 10 days. Now we are trying to be positive but I am concerned. About ten years ago she was involved in an issue where she was accused / a misunderstanding took place of stealing some Avon stuff but she said she wasn’t arrested or went to court, she just lost the job. I’m not sure what my question is because I know we have to wait, but I guess I’m looking for reassurance and or looking for support to people who may have had to deal with a similar issue. Thanks

  14. Hello all

I have recently joined this site and wow! What a lot of information! My fiancé is in the Philippines and I’m an America. We have met several times and have lots of documentation of the relationship. My question is which route is the quickest way for her to come to the United States. Should we use either a fiancé visa or a marriage visa? I would like her to marry her in her country but I’m not sure I would be able to leave my wife behind for months. Any feedback would be helpful.
