we are in smaller town outside DC, Woodbridge VA. Interesting to find or neighbor was a Russian language instructor

We did the medical in the morning on a day, got the results same day. Interview was the next day.

We did this for both my wife and daughter.

My wife is from Shushenskoye, it took about 3 months for both my wife and our daughter to get their police reports.

Gary I wanted to thank you for the wealth of info you have provided in this forum. We recently brought our daughter here to the US so she could attend a university here.

This was her choice, she had already been accepted to a school in Russia, but the opportunity here for her was so much better. We are really looking forward to the next part of our adventure.

BTW a big congratulations to your son who is attending Rice. Being a native Texan and living in the Houston area. I can really say that is very impressive.

Also my wife considers herself a Texan, because she married one, and was married there.

We are looking at going but more for work purposes. We would most likely make it an extended trip to see the family.

We had our interview a few months ago in January.

Police report took 2 months (much longer than expected, but Yuliana is from a smaller town)

Medical was taken the day before the interview, results were same day and also translated into english.

We just has our interview last month, the engagement ring never came up. There were more questions about how we meet, how did we communicate, how often, and when and where did we meet in person.

Yuliana said total interview time was about 5-7 min, all in english

dont know how much i can help but I can tell you what we did last month.

1) Yuliana paid the interview fee thru the bank and got the number with payment verification (I had trouble with the web processing my CC)

2) 3 days later schedule the interview date (for a Tuesday)

3) Monday morning, called and schedule the exam (for Monday morning) need results on the same day

other than having trouble with my CC all was fine, she paid an additional fee to have a translations of vaccinations done in english

it has not been a problem for me. they will check and make sure you have a visa at JFK, and clear customs in moscow

still no luck for me. I am using BofA credit card.

They have set up monitoring on the transactions attempts from the web but never get to the point of even attempting an authorization

First time in 12 different countries that i have had trouble processing my credit card.

We are left to using the post option (no bank close by, not to excited about this) also a little mad that the fee from the bank is more than the $350 fee post (works out to more than $385)
