  1. sveta just told me tonight her sister was told that on the app. it was not listed where they would have lived during visit. so I went and checked all 3 apps and it is listed they would be staying at my address I understand the io's are only people that make mistakes but should still be held accountable if I recall that is how the real world is

  2. this morning svetas sister, her husband and child went for visa interview and less then 5 minutes with only few questions ie what her husband did for work, how long then asked about sveta why she live in usa and how long , then io said no visa for you. the paper given stated lack of ties to Ukraine documents. funny thing is sveta's sister had a lot with her but io never asked for any. I spoke to senator cornyn his office rep said they should have asked if had anything to add ie proof of ties to return with that said his office will start asking questions. her sister also noticed during her 30 minutes in embassy getting through the door and waiting to be seen she noticed no one was being approved... this is letter given hope someone can give insite

  3. The U.S. does not recognize dual citizenship and only considers you to be a US citizen.

However they don't care if you have another passport or if other countries consider you a citizen.

They will not take away your Ukrainian passport but they require you to sweat that you will be loyal to the U.S.

You just need to check the Ukrainian laws. If the Ukraine allows you to have two citizenships then you'll be fine.

    per dos website

    http://travel.state.gov/content/travel/english/legal-considerations/us-citizenship-laws-policies/citizenship-and-dual-nationality/dual-nationality.html

the U.S. Government recognizes that dual nationality exists but does not encourage it as a matter of policy because of the problems it may cause. Claims of other countries on dual national U.S. nationals may conflict with U.S. law, and dual nationality may limit U.S. Government efforts to assist nationals abroad. The country where a dual national is located generally has a stronger claim to that person's allegiance.

  4. the cbp told sveta and I this past summer that next summer sveta can apply for citizenship since we would be married 3 years. cbp also stated sveta can have duo-citizenship with ukraine and when we question him about ukraine as rule not allow his reply was " the relationship with both countries ukraine will allow duo-citizenship with the usa " , but when I read the department of state website about it it is allowed. But on the n-400 app I read ( I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate,

state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; )
sveta not want give up ukraine so any advice?
