  1. I went through something similiar a few years ago. I was in a relationship with a Chinese woman and we both enthusiastically started the K1 process. But I later began to notice that the closer we got to getting the visa approved, the more reluctant she got about coming to the U.S. Then, the medical problems began...

To make a long story short, all of her medical problems were diagnosed by a medical doctor to be the result of a "severe mental breakdown". In other words she was "crazy". I have dated enough American women in my life to know what crazy is, and she was no where near that! She simply did not want to leave China and I think this was her way of getting out of the relationship without me losing face. I don't blame her and I still think she is a wonderful person. She just couldn't live in the U.S. and that is understandable.

So I moved on and am now happily married. Things really do work out for the better. I know you are tired of everyone throwing thier opinions at you, but your options appear to be limited to either marrying her and living in seperate countries until you can live with her in China, or to move on.

Sorry about what you are going through. I know what it is like. Good luck to you.

  2. Hello,

Some of you might be wondering, "A healthy liver? What about the 'high transaminases' and so on?"

I have no idea. I'm just here for the ride on the Coocoo Train.

If one day someone can figure women out, they should be given all the gold in Britian, one of the islands in the Carribean and be crowned King of France as a token of our appreciation.

P.S. It is taking forever for me to access this forum (maybe my IP address has been partially blocked by a forum Administrator), so I am done with this forum... for awhile

  3. My fiance was told she needs a follow up shot. Anybody know which one she needs? She is now in the USA and we are married. About to be added to my health insurance next week.

My wife needs the second shot also. It is my understanding that is is the second in a series for hepatitis. The complete series should be completed within one year.

  4. Anybody had to deal with a unhappy family not wanting youngest daughter to move to America with her daughter?

Fiance is getting all kinds of chit from brothers/sisters and mama is not happy. Uggg

    American devil

My last trip to China in May I "met the family". It went better than I had expected especially since my fiancee never mentioned to any of her relatives that I was Westerner! Her family seemed to accept the marriage after the initial shock but my fiancee did spend a lot of time arguing with her family about many other matters... I wish I had some advice for you except to point out that in Chinese culture, it seems like the daughter can never do anything right. Even if you were a rich Chinese man, they probably would still object! Hang in there!

  5. Hi guys!! we call NVC today and they reply that our papers is not yet received...

What should we gonna do to contact NVC about this problem...

How many weeks we gonna call them again so that we have our case number???

Ours was sent from CSC on June 15- still nothing. They don't respond to emails and if you do talk to someone on the phone you won't get any real information until they get around to entering it into the system. The person I talked to blamed the delay on the CSC, for some reason! Didn't really make me feel any better...

  6. I'm a federal employee and have the same problem. "The Work Number" is my only option for employment verification. I am just including plenty of paystubs,a letter explaining the situation and a completed "The Work Number"'s form allowing them access if they need it. I am hoping that they have seen this often enough that it will not cause too much of a problem...

  7. I don't really have much to my name. I am definitely going to need co-sponsors. The best I could probably do is send her a little money. Is it possible to open some sort of joint bank account in China so I can directly transfer money into there? I know there are some banks that have locations in US and China. Maybe I should research that.

One easy suggestion to send money is to use Moneygram. They are located at many Walmarts now, and your receipt will show the recipient's name and address on it as well as yours. You could send $100 and they will charge you $11 for a 3 day service. There are many locations listed in China as a pick-up location. Just find the one closest to your fiancee's residence. She will only need identification to get it. Quick, convienent, but not the cheapest!
