  1. Last couple of day I went to an interview me and my fiancé. After the interview l, they told us that we passed the interview, for some reason they said my fiancé had to wait for at least a months for them to call her, so she bring her passport to the Embassy to get her visa. My concern is! Why taking so long to give the visa?

I am not really sure in your case, but America is only given so many visa's a year. We are all on waiting list depending how many cases are filed per country. Some countries have greater number of applications and interviews and not enough visa's to hand out.

  2. Hi

I have now been waiting 17months after my interview for my IR1 to get accepted (green card), this is too long, I am UK citizen (born and bread), never committed any crime (as my police report shows; which was given to the US consular at London Embassy), so I don't understand how can they take this long and allow people like me to be without there family (my spouses family), i have not seen them 4 over 2 years, what can i do as waiting is making me loose my mind, I'm thinking of not wanting to live anymore, can i write to secretary of state or anyone else for some support? any help please will be appreciated, thanks

Is your spouse U.S.Citizen? If so they should contact their congressman and call washington state at 1-202-663-1225. They can look up case info. Are you in AP? It is a awfully long wait for a visa after a interview.

  3. Sure no problem. Hope I can help. I cant believe this is really happening. We are just waiting for visa to be sent to him. After a interview and then a Stokes interview I was so worried.

    Thank you all once again!!!!!!

If I can give any advice, when it comes down too it,you have to trust your gut and do a lot of legal reading. No matter the Embassy or country, they will treat the case how they want. Every person and every persons situation is different and reflects the total outcome in the end.

  4. I don't believe they are stalling. They must have lost the other document and you should hurry up and send it again. Once they have both documents I'm sure they can issue the visa after a short time. You can contact your congressman and ask them to do follow up on your case but I wouldn't argue with the embassy just send them what they are asking for.

[/qu I am not arguing. It is just so stressfull. Thanks for ur insight

  5. Sorry, I didn't explain myself properly, I meant, using that as a guide to get evidence of your relationship, if its used in the past for physically meeting, then perhaps it can be used in another context, like proof of an ongoing relationship, your friends and family writing letters about seeing your relationship evolve, from the beginning to now.

But it looks like baron555 might be onto something useful for you. :)

Hi. I am going crazy too. My husband had interview september 27th. We had everything they said. Plane tickets, notarized letters from family friends, skype, facebook, western union tickets for money. on and on. We are still waiting over 2 months later. Im going crazy. They have the power
  6. An LPR can petition for his spouse (will take around 3 years), however if you got your LPR thorugh marriage you will most likely need to provide solid proof that your previous relationship was genuine, it will most likely be a red flag. But still like I said, LPR can file I130 for a spouse, not a fiance.

    Good Luck.

Like others said. There will be a red flag, and you have to wait 5 to ten years. When u become U.S citizen after working 40 quarter. If you work full time ,its 5 quarters a year

  7. Hello Journey friends. This whole visa process is making me sink into a dark hole. I am losing who I am. My Husband had interview Sept. 27,2012. Was put in AP. Missing 2 documents. Husband mailed the doc's . Embassy still wont give visa and it is Nov. They say they received one document but not the other. They were mailed in same envelope. I have emailed them explaining They have everything, but they hold all the power. I will be mailing the doc. again. Does anyone know what is going on. Why they are stalling. Should I contact my congressman or wait and see if they get the document again or try to prolong our case longer. Department of state says they are very sorry but once the case is in other country,it is out of their hands . I really need some encouragement.

  8. This question is posed specifically to those that have interviewed at the Embassy, thanks.

Was there any conversation, about original versus copies of petitioners divorce decrees? If so can you share?

    Thanks.

Hi. I just had my interview. Yes if you were previous married you must provide divorce document at embassy. A copy if you have already given them original in I.V. packet. If not you must bring the original with you and two copies. Hope this helps. Good luck. We are still in AP for forgetting to show a army paper stating he has never been in the military.

Had to mail it to them...

  9. so my wife's case is now closed.. we are just waiting for an interview but then here's what im worried about:

im about to quit my job and move to move another state, im wondering if i have to make another affidavit of support... anyone with knowledge or experience on this, pls i need some advice.. thanks in advance.

I really dont think so. At the interview you have to show them your AOS copy that u sent USCIS and just the tax transcripts. I think your safe. Someone correct me if im wrong. Thats all my husband had to show.

  10. My husband and I have had two interviews in Albania within a week. And we were asked a good 100 questions a piece, and still they didn't deny us or approve us. I was sure we would get our answer at the second interview. At first interview they said we had all documents they needed but needed time to look them over. ( letter of bonifide marriage, etc.)They called him next day and scheduled us to come back in following Monday. After hours of waiting and questions they say we are missing 2 documents... why couldn't they tell us this on the first interview? They said mail them in and when we get them we will call for further proceeding..... I am glad they didn't deny us on first interview but the suspense is driving me crazy.I never heard of interviews going this way. Has this happened to any else. Do you think we will be approved and How long are we waiting for them to call after they receive these missing documents. Can anyone put my mind at ease. They are sucking the life outta me.

  11. I am going crazy and just want to cry. I just flew home from Albania, and we still dont know. I have never seen a Embassy do things this way. He had his interview and they said he had everything but we had so much proof of marriage they need time to look over and would give him a call. Well they called him and wanted us both to come in for another interview the next Monday. Said we needed to bring nothing. Well we went. They made me go first then had me wait outside and he come in. They asked me over a hundred questions. Him too. Well he finally came out and I was sick too my stomach wanting to know if we were denied or approved. He said we still don't know yet. They need a document... Couldn't they told us this the Wednesday before so we could have brought to the interview... What game are they playing. They want my brothers taxes. We gave them the original. They said it was missing from my copy i gave at interview. I said I gave the original to the uscis. All I can give is a copy. They don't really want it because they didn't keep the Aos packet at all. They gave all back at end of interview. If they really want it they would have kept mine. They are just being plain mean. So now we have to mail it to them instead of bring it in. I really dont understand any of this at all. I flew home Monday by myself not knowing if my husband is getting visa. whats wrong with these people.I am so lost and sad.

  12. Hello everyone. This place has help my so much. I am lucky to have met such nice people who know what Im going through. My husband interview for visa is in exactly two weeks. Does anyone on hear know anything about the embassy. I cant seem to find anything, anyone wrote about what happened during their interview. Also do they allow your spouse to attend the interview with him? I am so nervous and freaking out because we are so close to starting a new chapter of our life together but I know nothing about the Albania Embassy. I was inside once but not for visa purposes. Can anyone put me at ease?

  13. Is it easier for him to get a visa to the UK?

The easiest way possible to do this is to apply for a fiance visa, when you get approved he can come to you. you have to marry within 6 months, than apply for spouse visa for him and his son. Because you are military it will be easier for you. I have lots of experience with visas. You wont get a visitor visa. It is too hard. even if his son is his reason to go back because he can always send for him later. Hope this helps
