  1. Congrats..... You are at the end of this torturous journey. Just get the medical done ASAP and then you are looking at weeks :-). After all these pains and sufferings passing through the uncertain time, you are at the end of the hell-hole. Time for you to smile and enjoy as long as it lasts. Congratulations again :-)

    Thank you.

My fiance also received a call from embassy asking confirming his appointment for Thursday. Hope its good news for both of us. Good luck.

Thanks, you will be in my prayers.

  2. After waiting six months and three weeks in painful AP, I got a phone call from the embassy yesterday afternoon. The caller said that they have completed the processing of my case. But asked me to do medical test again as my previous one has been expired. She has also mentioned that after receiving the medical test result the embassy would contact me again. I hope my wait is gonna be over soon. Everyone please keep me in your prayers. Thanks.

  3. You are very lucky person, you got your visa after one month of AP. For me it's nearly three and half months since they took my IV interview and still no news from the embassy. They kept my passport and mobile phone number. Everyday, I patiently wait for the call. Anyone waiting with Additional Processing (AP) or got your visa after AP, please post your status, so that I can figure out how long it could take for me to get my visa. I am an F2A beneficiary, my wife is my petitioner. Thank you all for reply.

  4. Dear Hasikana,

It is difficult to find any information about you from your profile. Also you haven't set up the timeline yet which make it difficut for others to answer depending on your situation. There are x number of visa categories and based on the categories, some of the answers could be really different. Assuming you applied for immigration (with whatever category) below are some basic information:

Administrative Processing (AP) - Generally all muslim men (don't even know if you are male or female) from countries on the *list of 26* between the ages of 18-45 get pulled for extra security checks. Getting a visa approval on the spot is few and far between in these areas and can take a week or even months (for Bangladesh, lately I've noticed few getting visa between 4 and 5 months) to complete.

AP is extremely common for men of certain national origin.

    Dear hellraiser,

Thanks for the reply. My case is F2A and I am a Bangladeshi male. On my blue paper, it does not say "Administrative Processing" rather it says "Additional Processing".

  5. Hello to Everyone,

I am new to VJ. It would be much appreciated if someone please let me know what does it mean when CO says Additional processing. My IV interview has been taken at Dhaka embassy more than three months ago. After the interview the CO gave me a blue paper where he wrote "Additional processing required, we will contact you as soon as the process is complete". The CO also mentioned that my interview was a success and I didn't need to provide any more document. Sorry, don't know whether or not this is the right place to write.
