  1. Hi everyone! Been lurking here for some time now while preparing my I-129 petition for my fiance. Thankful for all the wonderful people here helping one another, and helping those like me who lurked here for a while. My petition was received by the Texas lockbox on Januart 19th. Now on to the excruciating wait.

I may have an uphill climb before me so please send me some good luck when you all can :-). I have so many questions but will save those for later. Been worried too long that I missed anything so I just went ahead and sent the application off. Frontloading it might have been a mistake but I already did it. Some people say it's good, some say it isn't see. I guess we'll wait and see.

    Thanks all!!!

How do you know that the NVC has sent your petition? Is there some way to check it?

  2. After 180 days of pure torture(frontloading, phone calls, ombudsman, and too much waiting) its finally here!!! Post decision activity! Hopefully that means approval to. Thank you VJ family for all of your empathy and support. I wish the best to all of you. Its really a waiting game. Theyre hoping you give up so that they have less work to do but hang in there!!!

  3. To be honest guys it feels to me as if this 5 months processing time was really 5 months counted in full months, doesn't matter they got your petition on January 1st or 31st. The whole June will be within processing time until we jump into July and that's 6th month then... I am telling you, there is no way they would be saying it if it was any other way...

I think they gonna use the holiday as another excuse for the delay in processing time. It'll be the middle of the month before they start working on more approval in July.

  4. Some of y'all have waited longer than Photomile and I, it's ridiculous.

Here's what I sent the Ombuddy

    "Good afternoon,

I had emailed about a month ago asking about the current status for January 3rd petitions that were outstanding. My case has now been approved, however the same inconsistency with the adjudications coming from Vermont doesn't seem to be improving. This is concerning because the entire month of January now seems to be neglected, save for the 5-6 approvals we see in a week. This is most unusual, even more so when petitions filed in February are now starting to see approval.

It would be extremely appreciated if you could investigate this. While I might already have my approval, I am speaking on behalf of those who have passed day 160 of waiting, or are approaching it.

Calling the USCIS call center is excruciating. We have been told they are currently processing January 9th, and have been told this for nearly two weeks. Those wanting a service request simply cannot have anything done on their file because of this inaccurate date. The system will not let them. Why would we see February if this is the case? I hope you can understand the frustration.

If something has caused Vermont to slow down this drastically, a little reassurance would be a relief. Why hasn't there been activity? This is the main question everyone has been asking.

If you can do anything at all, we would be forever grateful.

Thank you for your service and what ever information 30+ people are hoping you will be able to provide."

    Cross your fingers!

Thanks for your support and empathy. That really expressed my sentiments as well. Being separated from the one you love over something like this is excruciating.

  5. They have been on Jan 9th forever now ! At this pace we will be able to do a service request in 3 months or something !! I don't have any faith in VSC and their crappy unfair, unreluable and inconsistent system ! I think we should all filed with our local congressman !

I think thats ####### to because I applied Jan.3 and am still waiting. I looked at Igor's list and some Dec. petitions are still waiting.

  6. Those examples baffle me. I do have to wonder if it's because the country is Haiti. I've noticed others with shorter NOA1 - NOA2 timelines coming from Cuba, Dominican Republican or Haiti. I get that those countries aren't the tits, but I don't understand why they automatically skip to the top of the heap.

My fiance is from Haiti but were over 171 days already. People in the military usually get first place or maybe it was because of his missionary status???

  7. That's just freaking ridiculous!!!! Wednesday will be 5 months for me. I want to call my congressman on Thursday and see if they can just find out where my file is, if they can tell me it's lost in a box or on an adjucator's desk. Maybe they'll find all the other 2/9 touches as well... I'd be calling congress if I were you. I couldn't stand it to be 160 days n still not a peep from them!

    Im still waiting too.

  8. Does anyone know if theres a possibility the Jan filers will have to wait 8.5 months or is that just for the new applicants?

  9. Accuracy of the processing times on VJ is directly related to accurate and updated information entered by those registered on the site. USCIS has no insight into your petition until something has happened to it, e.g. approved, denied, RFE. That said, your VJ timeline states your petition may be adjudicated later this week/next week.

    I really hope so. Thanks!

  10. Does anyone know how accurate the K-1 processing times are on this website? It states they're working on the Dec.31 applications. The customer service line isnt helpful at all.
