  1. Was todays DOS story..I have no track # no notifications from loomis? or dhl or whoever?

    anyone have any thoughts?

My fiancee had her interview Monday April 23rd, she called DOS on Wednesday April 25th and they let her know it was issued that day. She received the email Thursday April 26th that DHL picked up her passport and was given the tracking number in that email. She was able to pick up her passport Friday April 27th. Hope that helps!

  2. Fiancee picked up her passport this morning in Burlington. She received an email last night letting her know dhl picked up the passport and was given a tracking number. We used the tracking number and saw it arrived in Burlington today.

  3. wow!!!! One more!! Congrats!!!

Were she asked or a I-864 form?

There's something going on cause somebody was asked or this form and as far as we know we only submit I-864 for AOS.

    I appreciate,

    Thanks

She was just asked for the i-134

  4. Just wanted to let everyone know my fiancee had her interview Monday and she was approved. She was told she would get her visa in 5 days. We called DOS to see if the Visa was issued yet (just wanted to make sure the time frame they gave us is true) and it was issued today. It's looking like the 5 days might be right! Good luck to everyone who is going this week.

  5. Yay!! Thank you so much!! WOOHOO, Congrats to you and your fiancée Greene Giant!

Yay!! Thank you so much!! WOOHOO, Congrats to you and your fiancée Greene Giant!

Congrats to you as well :) Did they tell you how long it would take to receive your passport back? My fiancee was told 5 days. We are hoping that is the case. I'm flying up next Thursday for the big move.

  6. My fiancee had her interview yesterday and they didn't ask for the photos either. She wasn't asked for half the stuff on the checklist either, I think they just ask you to bring it in case they don't have it. Her interview went well and she was approved. She was told she would get her passport back in 5 days.

  7. Hi everyone. We are in the process of finishing all our paper work for the interview. We noticed that at the bottom of the checklist it states we have to show proof of his status in the US. How do we go about doing that? We figure that they already have copies of his birth certificate and passport in our file. My fiancee the petitioner is a US citizen by birth. Do we have to take proof of his status in the US to the interview? Thanks

P.S THis is his fiancee Alicia :)

  8. Hi everyone! I apologize if this is posted some where else and I missed it. All that's left to gather for the interview is our proof of relationship. My question is do I have enough? We haven't each other since February. We submitted our P3 in Feb with pics and plane tickets from our weekend visit. Now that we haven't seen each other since then we don't have any new travel docs or new pictures. What we have to submit is bbm conversations and phone logs. Do you think that will be enough?

  9. Hey Everyone!

So I thought I would share my experience getting the medical done for the interview. I went today in Toronto. I arrived at the medical building on Bloor St at around 6:45am. There was another lady and a family who came shortly after. We were allowed in the building just after 7am. I was the first to be seen and the process is super fast! First you go into an office and pay your fees and show your documents. Then you get your receipt and go into the next room to get the physical done. It only takes about 10 mins from start to finish. After your exam you are told to go back into the waiting room to be called for blood work. When I entered the waiting room it was PACKED!!!! I only had to wait about 2 mins to get my blood work. My blood work took the longest because the nurse was having a hard time getting a vein. Then I was off for my xray which happens at a building just around the corner.

I arrived for my medical at 6:45 and was done just after 9am. It really is an easy process :)My advice would be arrive super early! Hope this helps!

  10. I'll write a review of the montreal consulate (they were awesome with me) when I get home, right now I'm sitting in PET airport on my laptop and am far too tired to even contemplate writing anything long. Suffice to say: We are APPROVED. They told me I should get my visa in 5 business days and it took me 2 window visits to get it all done. :D

:D:D:D:D THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

    Congrats :)

  11. We called the DOS this morning just to see if they have any insight on the appointment situation. The rep I spoke to (Cookie was her name) was very helpful and said April dates should be available soon and to try around the 15th. Who knows if this info is right or wrong but just thought I'd share!

  12. No problem Eli,

Once I knew that the petition was approved and got confirmation and assigned case number, I sent my packet 3 to Montreal...I didn't even wait for instructions to come in the mail, sent packet 3 by Loomis courier so I could track and then I physco dialed DOS everyday to see if Packet 3 had been logged in the consulate's system and asked if Packet 4 had been sent out yet and where it went. I just got mail for Packet 3 and 4 together last week. If you call DOS make sure you give them the right case number. One operator told me that Packet 4 had gone out and then another one told me that packet 3 hadn't been received after the previous operator told me it had...turns out the 2nd operator put the wrong case number in.

We are all in this together...this is the most frustrating part...trying to book the interview.

I agree 100%......waiting for available interview dates is so nerveracking. My fiancee and I are on the webiste contstantly hitting refresh hoping to get a date. There haven't been dates for about a month now so here is hoping they open some really really soon.....today would be nice lol

  13. Calling the DOS can be very frustrating. We had similair situations where you speak to one rep and they say one thing and if you call back and speak to someone else its a different story.

You are only eliglbe to schedule your interview once they tell you your P4 is logged. I called every day till we found out ours was logged. It took about a week after they received our P3 to log the p4. Until that p4 is logged you cant schedule anything. Hope that helps.

  14. Don't you just want to scream at them and tell them that you have tried speaking to an operator but keep getting automatically disconnected!!

    So frustrating

What's frustrating is that Matty's girl got that email saying April appointments are going to be available soon and yet today we get this non sense of them explain how the appointment scheduling works......we all know how it works we want to know when they will be available!!!

  15. We emailed the consulate a week ago about when new appointments were to be coming available. This is the response we got just now......

    Good day,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

The Consulate General in Montreal is committed to scheduling immigrant visa interview appointments as soon as possible after the applicant’s file is documentarily ready. The Consulate General works closely with the National Visa Center and CSC Visa Information Services, our appointment system contractor, to determine the number and category of immigrant visa cases that are ready for interview, and ensure there are adequate appointments available. The calendar is reviewed several times per month, and additional appointment slots may be added as available visa numbers change. If there are no appointments available, applicants are requested to re-try in a few days, as it is likely additional appointment slots will be opened.

Applicants who need assistance in making an immigrant visa appointment can visit the CSC Visa Information Services website http://canada.usvisa-info.com/, contact CSC Visa Information Services by e-mail at contactus_en_CA@usvisa-info.com or call by phone to speak to an appointment operator:

  16. I'm not getting anything right now..the site might have crashed. It kicked me out and now I am trying to get back on.

Same here. I'm not able to log on and when I called the number to try to book over the phone (I know its the same system but you never know) it keeps disconnecting on me.

  17. Thanks Matty's girl! I sent an email inquiring a week ago and didn't hear anything back yet. It's great to get a better idea as to when there will be appointments. Here's hoping that maybe we will have interviews by the end of the week.
