1. FOR THE FAMILY NAME SHOULD I USE NOW MY SPOUSE SURNAME?
2. FOR THE MIDDLE NAME WILL I USE MY REAL MIDDLE NAME OR MY SURNAME BEFORE I GOT MARRIED
3. FOR ALL OTHER NAMES USED SHOULD I PLACE MY SURNAME BEFORE I GOT MARRIED?
THANK YOU:)

I'm sad that youre feeling that way. Just got my visa approved and will be moving on May 27th. I too have some issues of moving out my comfort zone, but the thought of me being with my fiance uplifts my spirit. Maybe Im not yet there and haven't experienced house arrest,or everything that you have mentioned, but I know that something like that might really happened.
Being not busy is I think one of the factors why you're feeling like that, and him working much makes you feel more alone. Try to do some activity for the meantime, something new to learn like cooking or doing some arts, or go to your neighbors, or something that youve missed when you were still busy and doing a lot of stuff.
Imagine that this is just a vacation for you and after thAT you'll be back to work soon, so relax a little, for the meantime enjoy being a lovely wife and enjoy being the home maker, for surely time will pass and you will miss this moment again.
I hope that you'll be ok soon that you will enjoy each and every moment of your stay. You're one of the lucky people who were given the chance to be with someone you love so might as well think of that as an inspiration to get you going. Others are still in the agony of waiting for their visas to be approved.
No one said that its really easy, talk to your partner, he might help you.
Goodluck to us! All the best!

Dear Vj family,
I had my interview this morning at Abu Dhabi US Embassy.Just wanted to share what I experienced today. I hope you will learn something
At exactly 6:30 AM my sister and I left the house and headed to the embassy and we waited outside the building where benches are to sit on.
7:45 AM security guard checked my appointment letter and passport then directed me to sit on the IMMIGRANT line. At 8:00 AM the security guard directed me to the entrance of the main building, its not the USEM building yet it’s a separate room for security purposes where they will scan your things and another security personnel will scan your body, and then after everything was checked they instructed me to exit to another door and headed to another waiting room, after few minutes we were asked to go to the main building.
As soon as I entered the main building the reception security gave me a control number I got the number (003), and was instructed to sit down and wait till my number flash on the monitor on top of each window.
My number flashed on Window No. 10 and a Caucassian lady took 1 copy of my control number (003) and asked for my Filled forms along with my other docs;
Filled Forms;
DS-156
DS-156
DS-157
DS-230 Part I & II
I-134
Income Tax Return of my Fiance
Appointment Letter
Original Passport
Receipt for 540.00 AED (NBAD)
3 photos (2x2)
Original Police Clearance
Original NBI
Birth Certificate
Medical Result (except the X-Ray)
I prepared all my documents with labels on extra sheet with tabs and clips,
PLS DO NOT DO THAT because when i submitted it she told me "too much paper"
and she doesn't have all the time to remove it one by one, so she returned it to me and asked me to give only the documents needed
After that the lady gave me a slip along with my passport to pay an amount of (375.00 AED) to (Window No. 1 - Cashier) and told me to come back after paying and return to her the passport along with the payment receipt. Its now cheaper before it was 781 aed, but there was a change I think since April 12, 2012:)
Then I went back to her and gave my receipt and she told me to sit down and wait for my number to be called. When my number was called at (Window No. 11) for Finger printing (4 left finger / 4 right finger / 2 thumbs together) and then after that the she instructed me to wait for my number to flash at the monitor.
And my number flashed on (Window No. 7) a lady conducted my interview, she instructed me to take the phone and raise my right hand and pledge under oath that everything I submitted is true and correct and the ff. question were asked.
1) What’s your Full name?
2) What’s your date of birth?
3) Who is (name of my fiance)?
4) How long have you been engaged?
5) When did he proposed?
6) Was he present during your engagement?
7) How / When / where did you meet?
8) Did you meet in person? How long?
9) Why did you go to America?
10) Why not do the wedding in your country?
11) What is your job?
And then finally the C.O. pulled a Pink Slip on the side of her table and told me I think everything is ok, but we still need to check your other documents and saw her writing the (Date / Day / Time) where I should come back to collect my passport and visa and she said once everything is ok they will issue my visa on the date given on the pink slip.
I even asked her what I will tell to my fiance, she just smiled and told me " Just tell him you'll comeback on Sunday to collect your passport
I'm still praying that everything will be OK on April 29, 2012 (Sunday) and hoping they will issue my Visa, thanks everyone for the great help and support… and thank you also to other Vj members who shared their experiences which also helped me a lot. And for those who answered my pm messages
God bless us all! and may all our journey be a success!

I just finished reading your very detailed interview experience. thank you for sharing this one, my interview will be on April 22, 2012, I know your experience happened few years ago but its a relief to hear someones experience. After reading what you wrote it made me feel relax, I'm very stressed and quite nervous about this interview. Sleepless nights and thinking too much of what other things i need to prepare. This is really enlightening. Again thank you so much! Hope everything will turn out to be good on my interview as well! God bless!

2. In what occupation do you intend to work in the US? - ( I plan to go to a dental hygienist school, not work. So I still don't know what to write here)
from what i read since you dont know yet you can answer " TO BE DETERMINED" ... that is my answer as well... currently answering the same form
And how far back in time should you go when it comes to "educational institutions attended"?
Do I need to list my pre-school or is it after High School that counts?
I started Highschool

Question page 3 of Form I- 129F Part D. Penalties certification and petitioners signature:
Your Certification: I am legally able to and intend to marry my alien fiance within 90 days of her arrival in the United states. I certify under penalty of perjury under the laws of USA that the foregoing is true and correct.......
with the signature of the petitioner, date and number... will this not qualify as letter of intent?
do we really need to submit a separate and an original letter of intent from both parties (Petitioner and benificiary)? thank you

hi everyone! I have a question my interview date will be on April 22, 2012 in Abu Dhabi, but we received the I-797 Notice of action from the USCIS, giving my case an approval notice from DEc 21/2011 to April 20, 2012.My question is can the interview date be before the approval notice expires? or can the embassy extend the approval notice that USCIS have given us? Should I call the embassy and inform them or just leave it for its ok. thanks in advance

the receptionist at nmc... she told me no female doctor
-
congrats!!!

thank you rara and chym, im planning to repeat my dubai police clearance by march, for the medical there is no female doctor in nmc thats why im planning to have it in mideast. Mideast didnt say that i cant have my medical now, they just advised me to have the clearance near to the interview date because 2 mos in advance they said is too early. And for the NBI i know its outdated my dilemma is I cant go back to the Philippines just for that its too expensive, tried to ask if they will give me clearance they said not possible because there should be a physical appearance. thats why im wondering if there is some one here who can help if they know if its alright to have police clearance only from my province or if there is clearance given by the embassy.. again thanks

Hi everyone ... I guess im too excited too prepare everything already... My interview will be on April 22, last day of January I already requested for a police clearance here in dubai, got my clearance after 5 days only to find out its valid for 3 months paid 110 aed and will be needed to apply for a new one later of march. For the Medical went to Mideast polyclinic in deira they advised me to have the medical atleast 3 weeks prior to my interview. The medical is valid for 6 months only:)
uhmmm question regarding police clearance... Im from the Philippines and been working here in dubai since 2008, having my vacation yearly, but unfortunataly during my last vacation Nov 2011 i was only able to get police clearance from my province. Its not the NBI, I have my NBI but it was from 2008. they will not give NBI clearance because they require physical appearance.. will there be any problem with that? Any idea if our embassy here gives police clearance?
