I file my I-130 in July and I was wondering if anyone who filed in July has gotten the NOA2 yet?

We just got married and was wondering if I need to have my wife change her maiden name which will mean getting a new passport. Any advice as to what to do will be appreciated

I agree, there is more to the story and I don;t know where to go to. Any suggestion from this forum of someone who has gone through similar situation will be very much appreciated.
The embassy wants to recommend to USCIS to revoke my I-129F approval. Now, do I call the consulate oversee and request a reason why we where denied. Or should I write my state congress representative of the situation? Has anyone been thru this situation before. PLEASE HELP.

I FILED FOR MY EX WIFE 4 YEARS AGO. I HAVE BEEN A US CITIZEN FOR 22 YEARS NOW. I FILED FOR MY FIANCEEE 90 DAYS AFTER MY EX-WIFE DIVORCE DEGREE WAS GRANTED.

I have visited 3 times in 2 years. I was not present at the embassy during the visa interview. We are of same race and ethnicity. If age is a huge factor, how does one prove that this relationship isn't fake. we have series of email communication and phone records.

My understanding is that proposing while officially separated is not a crime. Is it? So if DHS is aware and they approved the petition, i dont know why CO will refuse visa. should I email the consular office in Lagos and explain to them with evidence of separation?

Hello everyone.
Please help with what I need to do next.
I had known my fiancée for two years now. I was still marriage to my now ex-wife. We were going through divorce. When my divorce degree was granted I decided to file for my fiancée. My petition was approved by DHS, but today my fiancée went for her interview and the CO refused to give her Visa the reason was “EVIDENCE INDICATE THAT THIS RELATIONSHIP WAS ENTERED INTO FOR IMMIGRATION PURPOSES".
The two points he made for denying the visa was
1.) The age different. We have 20 years age dif.
2.) I had my relationship with my fiancée I before my divorce was final.
What do I need to do to convince them the relation is real before they send the petition back to DHS? I have a separation agreement dated Nov. 2010 with my ex-wife. I propose to my fiancee in March 2011. should I email the separation agreement to them in lagos embassy? I am confused and don't know where to go from here. Why should age difference be an issue?

In form DS -156k there is this statement “THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE ATTACHED IN ORDER TO APPLY FOR A FIANCE(E) NONIMMIGRANT VISA.”
Evidence of Engagement to Your Fiancé(e)
I did not have any formal engagement with my fiancée. when I ask is she will marry me and she said yes. What should I show them as evidence?

First, I want to thank everyone on this site for their help. You guys are great.
My fiance interview is set for May 8th in Lagos Nigeria. In filling out FORM DS-156, We are not sure what to fill in the listed question below:
26. How long do you intend to stay in U.S?
27. What is the purpose of your trip?
32. Do you intend to work in the U.S? (If yes, give the name and complete address of U.S employer)
33. Do you intend to study in the U.S? (If yes, give the name and complete address of the school)
36. Has anyone ever filed an immigrant visa petition on your behalf? (If yes, WHO?)
Any help will be appreciated?

Quick question. Is a K1 visa an IMMIGRANT visa or A NON-IMMIGRANT VISA?

My fiancee and I are waiting for her interview date. I got an email asking her to go to a bank in Nigeria and pay $350 for KI Processing fee. My fiancee who is in Nigeria did not receive the email. They want her to go to http://www.ustraveldocs.com to complete the K1 application form. Is this how the US consulate operate in Nigeria or is this a fraud.

Thanks guys for your info. I appreciate them. BTW what is DOS and how do you contact them in the states?

My fiancee actually email the embassy on feb. 29th with the approval information and the embassy replied saying they have not received the approval from USA.

I filled in September 2010 for my fiancee and we were approved last month Feb. 9th. I received my approval letter Feb 14th. Now my fiancee went to Lagos Embassy to request interview date only to be told they have not received the approval letter from America. So I call the customer service here in the states and they said it has been mailed out. This is strange. Has anyone experience this before in Lagos Embassy or any US embassy?

I want to thank everyone for your input. I was freaking out hear because I always perform my annual test since I am in the medical profession. Never had this result before. turns out the Lab made a huge error in their test and they had to perform the test again. it came out negative. Just to be sure I tested with a private independent lab and the result was the same NEGATIVE...Thanks everybody....I am so relieved.

What is USC that should be notified?

So if you are not having any treatment, would they deny you visa?

Hello All, I have a nagging question about what type of medical issue that could prevent someone from getting a visa. I filled my I 129F October 2011. We are waiting to receive my NOA2. I had my annual medical and my doctor said I may have Hepatitis A and Herpes type 2. Will this affect my getting the VISA to come to the USA?
We are APPROVED but I am not in USA to process

Hello Friends,
I have a situation. We just got approved by Vermont center after 210 days. But right now, I am out of the state on duty. Does anyone know what I should be expecting from NVC through the USPS (mail). Will they send everything via email and what are the documents I need to send to them at this stage of the process.
Thanks.
