  1. I've read here that they'll ask if the applicant/beneficiary was previously married, why/how/when it ended? Court judgement with Null and Void stamp and annotated Marriage Certificate from NSO. Curious to know as well.

Are you annulled too? If you are could you please PM me.

  2. Hi! I am just wondering if my fiance still needs to attend the CFO seminar if he aready attended this a few years back when he went to Dubai as an OFW. Is the seminar different if he's going here in US on K1 visa?

  3. Hi Everyone!

I just have a question with one item in form I-134. On the question about the derive annual income, do I put here the amount written on my Employment letter or the amount from my recent tax return? I am a nurse so the one written on my employment letter is just the base rate but I actually earn more than that. I am not sure if it's going to make any difference since both are above the poverty guideline. Thanks!

  4. Hi Vjs,

What has happen to VSC? Did they take 2 weeks off and quit? This is BS!!

I feel you! What makes it worst is my case number not working on their website. To call them for an update is also hard. They don't tell you anything. I called 2 weeks ago and this time i was transferred to another personnel that told me that it can take from 6 months to a year. Isn't that great?! It's so frustrating and stressful!!!

  5. What the heck happend with Vermont. Now they have gone back to September processing for I-130. what the heck is going on!

I just saw the updated processing time on the website. Even for k1 visas they are not in the 5 months time frame anymore. They are now just on June 14, 2011 :(. So before I was waiting for the 5th month to come, now it's even unknown at this point. Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh!!!!

  6. Hi everyone!

Please can anyone share your experience, especially for those OFW who work in other country, particularly in Singapore and Kuwait. How did you get your Police clearance? if Kuwait is unobtainable,Is there a way to prove it that i can show the US embassy?something that i can print, just so i can bring it with me to the interview day.. they said one of the requirements is the request letter from US embassy,

I just want to know,When and How can i get that request letter? do i need to wait

for the NVC to sent my case here in US embassy Manila?so,i can get that request letter?...

    your reply is highly appreciated...

God Bless Us all in our journey!

My fiance worked in Dubai and I emailed US embassy in Manila about getting police clearance/certificate. Here's what they reply to me:

    Manila IV Correspondence Unit IVManilaReplies@state.gov

Because police certificates are unavailable to foreign nationals who no longer reside in the United Arab Emirates, applicants are not expected to produce them.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

    Immigrant Visa Correspondence Unit

    Consular Section

    U.S. Embassy, Manila

    1201 Roxas Boulevard

    1000 Manila, Philippines

    Telephone: (632) 301-2000

    Fax: (632) 301-2037

Hope this helps. Good luck! :)

  7. I mean she has said so many other things to me that are incorrect that we discussed on this call today and I am very frustrated with her.

If she doesn't want to receive calls on saturdays then she doesn't need to answer them. She also told me that there was no way to determine what consulate my interview would be at based on my packet. The country I'm petitioning for only has 1 consulate that handles k 1.

I asked her what documentation I should be preparing for the interview or for other steps taken after an noa2 and she told me that all of the other information needed was time sensitive and couldn't be obtained beforehand.

I asked her for an approximation of fees I will be needing to pay in the up coming months and she said that it was impossible even to guess what fees I will have.

But the biggest part is trying to get an additional 4000 dollars from me for an i130 when clearly you don't need that in addition to a fiance visa

I hope you're not planning on paying her an additional $4000 dollars to file your I-130. Just follow the instructions here and you'll be able to do it yourself. Just save your money when you need to file your AOS coz that's a lot of money too.

  8. So the more I look through forums and flowcharts and guides the more I think we were required to submit the letters of intent. We did not, as our attorney told us that we already had a lot of evidence and didn't need it. Am I waiting for a guaranteed RFE right now?

I am going to be veryyyyy bitter if we get one for that, as I still have the communications from my attorney saying they were optional and not needed in our case.

Letter of Intent is a requirement for I-129f regardless if you have enough proof or not. My friend is an IO in CSC and that's one of the things he told me to include in my packet to send. So I am pretty sure you're going to get an RFE for that. Nway, it's an easy one to fix so just send it when asked.

  9. My partner and I are both living in the UK, I am British she is a US citizen, She has a valid UK work visa as her step father is British as well.

We both want to move out the be closer to her family in the US but cannot decide weather it would be easier and quicker for us to get married in the UK (on the cheap) and apply for DCF then move out to her family, or apply for a Fiancee Visa and get married in the US.

We want to move out ASAP, preferably before the end of the year.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you're getting married in UK then you shouldn't be applying for fiancee visa anymore. You'll be applying for a spousal visa instead. I was told before that fiancee visa is a shorter process than the spousal visa.

  10. What a bunch of #######! They told me August 21st... Boy I tell you there is no rhyme or reason. It's whatever I waiting until march . That will put me at 6 months and some change  Just got to wait it sucks tho!

Goodluck to you! March is just around the corner. I hope you get yours soon :)

  11. I know that the wait is at least 5-6 months for K1. I guess I put my hopes up too much because they said VSC is faster than CSC. My friend works in CSC and he told me they're working currently on month of Sept so when he told me to call the Customer Service to ask what month VSC is processing since my receipt number not working on USCIS website, I wasn't expecting to hear that they're way behind than CSC :(...January feels way too far from Aug....
