  1. I started searching for a job January first week since I got here in the US mid week of November(got my GC and Social Sec Card first week of December) I applied for multiple jobs and had 3 interview on January too and while waiting for the job I really like I was applying for more and finally got a job

nice.. so in what company are you in now?

  2. Get any entry level job , dont be picky, then get your experience of the working culture

try the malls, telemarkeketing,or the local transit company, this enables you to develope

confidence , speech pattern of your region, independence, and allowing you to really integrate.

i have been looking entry level jobs.. i was in a point thinking i might apply for a dishwasher...

  3. You're better trying www.indeed.com because it pulls from all the other websites so you only have to look at the one.

I found better results combing my online searches with being registered with half a dozen employment agencies. There are some excellent ones here in Southern california. Where abouts are you in SoCal? I may be able to recommend you some great recruiters. Most of the bigger companies here use agencies to fill vacancies - it helps them with the filtering process.

thank you.. im here in anaheim.. im looking for hourly jobs

  7. It does not matter. Obviously you can't apply for the AOS until you are married, but you can apply for the SSN in any order, right away or technically never.

We waited until after the marriage to apply for the SSN, so we would not have to apply for a name change. That's just us. You can apply for it as soon as your paper work has had time to get in the system. If I remember right that is about 2 weeks. Someone correct me on that if I am wrong.

We are planning to get married a week after i arrived.. so any suggestion? Would i go for the AOS? Correct me if im wrong AOS is that all in right? Like ssn, aed etc.. how long is the process to get the ssn? Thanks

  8. POE: SFO International Airport

Aside from checking the visa in the passport, the IO asked for the packet & opened it infront of me. He asked how much money I brought, took my fingerprints & picture. He also reminded me to get married in 90 days to my USC fiancee. That was it.

Ang dali lng pala.. hmmm.. thanks for sharing

  9. Guys post your point of entry experience... for others have an idea how long will it take, wheres your POE, what did the immigration ask you upon arriving.. etc.. cheers!
