My husband's called into USCIS today and it looks like his case (June 13, CS
C) has finally been approved! He should have his green card some time within the next thirty days!!
Good luck to those of you who are still waiting. Hang in there!!

There are some June filers that have yet to be approved, but I believe the majority of them have been, I certainly understand your frustration, but it is ok for July filers to be happy, we have been waiting for a long long time like you.
There are very few June filers left who haven't been approved yet, and I believe I'm the earliest one.
And sure, you guys have every right to be happy. (Most people are when they have things go their way.) My point still stands though that they really should finish up with June before moving on to July. It's only fair

Thank heaven, CSC is finally getting to July
Well that's bullshit. I'm mid June and am somehow still waiting. They really ought to make sure they're finished up with all of the June applicants before starting on July.
-
Things seem to have slowed down here. Are there any other early/mid June filer still waiting?
I just don't understand what the hell is taking so long. I assume that these things are supposed to be looked at on a 'first come first serve' basis, right?
-
You'll more than likely be kept waiting for at least another month or two. I'm a mid June filer and still haven't heard anything back yet either. D:
-
I posted here about two weeks ago about how hadn't heard anything back yet regarding my husband's (June 13) ROC packet. Well here we are two weeks later and we STILL haven't heard anything. Anybody else here in the same situation? I know that people who submitted their packets in July are now being approved so I don't know what the holdup is or if I should be concerned.

Lots of people are still waiting, so don't be too concerned... you might as well put in a service request since you're "outside normal processing times" (official time out of USCIS for CSC is June 15) It probably won't make much difference, but at least you're doing something!
Good luck!
Thanks!! My husband actually already put in a service request when he called in yesterday, so here's hoping that we hear something back soon.

Hey guys,
So the CSC revived my husband's packet June 13 of last year and apparently now they're on the 16th (?) but we still haven't heard anything yet. Should I be concerned about this??? This whole thing is so stressful.
-
my local irs office doesn't print transcripts apparently. i will wait until the end of the day and if i don't get anything then i will send the packet off tomorrow. they can't very well be mad at me for not including a transcript anyway, since they specifically ask for a TAX RETURN on the instructions. If that's not what they want then they should't be asking for it.
-
Hey guys!!
So my tax transcripts STILL have not arrived yet and my husband's green card is due to expire on the 31st of this month. I have re-ordered them ... but feel like I am running out of time to send my packet in. Should I send it now, or continue to wait on the transcripts?
Thanks!

It looks as if you do need an appointment in Chicago. I will call tomorrow to confirm.
Does anybody know how late I can safely send in my packet? Right now there are about 50 days left until my husband's green card expires. Will waiting a week or two while I get this extra evidence hurt at all?
-
Thanks for the response!
- We live in Chicago and don't own a car, although will be buying one soon as we have plans to move out to the suburbs soon. I was planning on just buying a car outright, would it be better to take out a partial loan in both our names?
- I have just ordered tax transcripts for the years in question. I will see how long they take to get here. I may just send the returns and have the transcripts on file if they ask for them.
- Unfortunately our utility bills are either in my name of his, but they all have the same address. Would it still help to send them in?
-
Hey guys!
It's been a while since I've been on here. My husband and I just had our three year wedding anniversary. I can't believe we're still not done with this immigration stuff. D:
Anyway, my husband's green card is due to expire the end of June, so I will be sending off his I-751 packet hopefully on Friday. So far I have included the following as evidence. Do you guys think this will be enough?
- A copy of our joint 2013, 2014 and 2015 tax returns
- Three years lease agreements from our past apartment
- Our current lease agreement
- Renters insurance policy in both our names
- Copies of health insurance, dental and vision card
- Copies of joint checking account statements from June 2013 to current
- Copies of joint money market account statements from June 2013 to current
- Copies of joint credit card bills from April 2013 to current (Neither one of us had a credit card prior to that.)
- A signed affidavit from my aunt
- A signed affidavit from my husband's brother
- Photos
Thanks

I made copies of every page along with getting my tax transcripts. Give them enough so you don't have to go back for more. Copies are fine.
How many pages was yours? I just can't imagine that they need close on thirty pages.
-
It's my understanding that, if you're self employed, you need to send in your tax returns for the last three years ... is that right?
If so, which pages are needed, because each tax return consists of 30-40 pages ... and I can't imagine that they need all that.
Also - can I make photocopies/scans of the tax returns, or do they need to be originals?
What other proof do I need if I am self employed, apart from the tax returns?
Thank you
-
Wow, you're really moving right along there - congrats!!!

Hi,
We just received our case number today from NVC, they told us they will send a letter to the petitioner saying it has been sent to the embassy, and i assume that will include the case num. we did get ours over the phone, Irish ones begin DBL2012XXXXXX, you would need this if you need to email the embassy, however Dublin does not allow you to call and schedule your interview they will send you Package 3 and when you send back the letter of readiness (case number required on that) they will then send you a date. I agree you should call back if you have not already and get it, better to have it than not....just in case!!|! Best of Luck, keep us posted on progress........
After reading your post, I decided that I'd wait until Friday to call back in case I got a letter with my case number on it. Well, I got it this morning - so now I don't have to call back!
Thanks guys - and I'll be sure to keep you all updated!
-
It is pretty important, I would call back and get it.
The NVC case number is the identifier for your case. You will need it when you contact your embassy,NVC, Department of States and etc.
However, if you choose to just wait for the instructions from the Embassy, you probably won't need it. If you need to inquire about your case, you will need it.
Yea, I guess I'd better call them back then. I just wasn't sure what It was needed for ... but it seems like a pretty important thing to have. Thanks
-
Grats but hope you are up for a wait at NVC!
The case was forwarded to Dublin on Friday - that wasn't too bad
-
I'm just off the phone with a woman at the NVC (after having been put on hold for nearly half an hour) I have learned that my petition was mailed off to Dublin on Friday, (YAY!) but I stupidly forgot to ask for a case number. (I assume I have one, since the petition has already been forwarded.)
So my question is ... what exactly do I need the NVC case number for, if anything? Do I have to call back and get it, or is it not really important?
Sorry - this is probably a stupid question ... I just don't want to wait around another half an hour waiting for someone to answer my call if I don't have to. Thanks guys!
-
I got our NOA2 in the mail yesterday after only about four and a half months - and I am VERY excited!! I wasn't expecting it for about another month or so.
-
Alright ... well I guess thing thing is going to be sent out tomorrow instead - I've got a few more questions.
- What address am I supposed to put on the I-129F cover letter and the letters of intent? (They both ask for a service center address)
- For the G-325A places of residence, should I list all of the places that I lived in during college or just list my parent's home for that period. (Since it was still technically home.)
- Also for the G-325A places of residence, should I include a foreign address that I only lived at for two months. (I'd been living in Ireland for the previous 11 1/2 months at a different address, and then moved to a different place for a short period of time before returning home.)
Maybe none of these things really matter, but I'd just like to be sure. Thanks guys!!
-
Yes, you only to need to copy the entire passport if you are using it in place of your birth certificate. Since you are not, just the pages that show your passport stamps are fine. You might want to add the bio page just to show it is indeed your passport. If you have boarding passes that coincide with the dates of the stamps, all the better. Also, make sure to copy your birth certificate front and back.
And, you only need one passport photo each.
Yea, that's what i thought. Thanks for clearing that up!
I just have a few more questions now.
1.) Do the passport photos really have to be to be taken within the last six months? My fiancé's was only taken about a month ago - but mine is about three years old at this stage. I look pretty much the exact same now as I did then, but should I still get a new one?
2.) The affidavit of support is not included in this packet, correct? When will that be needed by?
3.) Concerning the proof I have, is there anything else that I should add or take away? (I feel as if some of the things I've listed might be unnecessary ... but I'm not sure!)
-
A birth Cert is a requirement for a Passport.
Fair point - I'm not exactly sure how that would work then. I've just looked it up again though, and the instructions do say that you should either include a copy of your birth certificate OR a copy of your full passport. I'll just do both though, it can't hurt!
