  1. there was a welcome letter sent but she lost access to that email account, (it was hacked) now she needs a copy of it so she can get the Invoice Number, her case number is on the letter where she is asked if she is still interested on the immigrant visa. Is there any way to get a copy of the letter, or, get the invoice number? Thank you for your help
  2. Hello everybody: A friend's daughter is a US citizen and the daughter filed for her in 2023, in may of 2024 she was approved and sent to NVC, neither of them knew of this and finally my friend received a letter asking her if she is still interested. How can she go about it. the letter says to login to CEAC and pay all required fees and documents. question: What are the fees and how much do they cost Thank you for your help
  3. That's the only SSN you will ever going to get. right now, you have a SSN that is restricted for employment with DHS authorization, nothing to do with credit cards, you can apply for a credit card.
  4. yes, scan it and save it. you can fill out the forms but, when it comes to voter's registration, it is easier to do it online. As far as the passport goes, your best bet is to fill out the form, get the pictures and go to the post office. but check out the requirements for a first time passport applicant,
  5. Also, I recommend to digitalize your certificate of naturalization immediately, before you apply for a passport, this because you have to send the certificate of naturalization (the original) along with the application, it will be returned (altough separate from the passport)
  6. when you walk in, somebody will ask you a few questions (has anything changed since the interview? taken any trips?) they will take your green card and point you to a seat. A welcome and congratulatory video from the president and maybe you get special speakers to give a speech, oath ceremony where you are going to recite the oath of allegiance then national anthem. After the ceremony there usually are volunteers that are going to give you a voter's registration and passport form. It is a very moving and emotional experience, the culmination of a long road for many. As for the passport check out this link.https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/passports/passport-processing-updates.html#:~:text=As of December 18%2C 2023,which costs an additional %2460. Congratulations.
  7. each form requires its own set of supporting documents, keep a copy of each set before you send it.
  8. Will having two last names be a problem when doing the Green Card process?🤔no problem at all. when my wife went through the process she used both surnames as one last name, no hyphenation ( perez martinez). all her documents are like this: first name: Marcela last name: Perez Martinez Is being married but having different last names a red flag?🤔 We never changed our last names, only in the way indicated above. She is a citizen now. congratulations on your upcoming wedding
