received Oath letter yesterday, 19feb2010, Oath ceremony scheduled on 18Mar2010

case status on uscis website still says "you have interview scheduled", does not show any updates at all!!, this is very strange.

got to admit I was beginning to get a little anxious, Good Luck to all other filers.

Hopefully, my wife will get the same oath date as your spouse.

Considering it usually takes at least 3 weeks to receive the oath letter, I am thinking that we will be getting the May oath ceremony.

It been a long, long time since I lasted posted on visajourney. My wife's AOS case was transferred to CSC on November 14th and two days ago we recieved an email from USCIS about a card being produced. I can only imagine that this is for the Green Card.

Well, she is aware of other holidays in other countries as she works in international logistics. She already celebrates both christmases and sent my family gifts for december christmas. So no, it would not be such a good idea for me to skip St.V's day in this case.

From what I understand is that St. V's day are becoming more popular with younger russians and may some day become to equal women's day in importance.

Thanks for the compliment, Nadia. So when are you going to Texas? I lived in San Antonio for 4 years, it's a nice state to live in. But, it might get a little warm for you during the summer.

I already called Delta yesterday for airfare in May as that is when Janna will come here. The lady quoted $950 round trip and over $2000 one-way, that is JAX-JFK-SVO connections. I told her that Janna is coming here on a K-1 visa and there is no plan for her to go back. She just respond that it better to just buy the return ticket in case she does go back. It's cheaper and Delta does not really care if the person uses the return ticket or not.

I will most likely go stay with her and her family in Moscow for a few weeks before we both go back to the US together in May.

Janna got her Visa approved. No drama here. She just will need to go back to the embassy to sign a form at 2pm. We just finished chat from her office and had to return to the embassy

She did meet another person that recognized her from the pictures on this website. Her name is Nadia, I am not sure if she is a regular poster here but she does come to this site. Anyway, she also got her Visa. Congratulation Nadia!

She waited 2 hours for the interview. The interview itself took about 10-15 minutes. She was asked 5 questions.

Question 1: Tell me about Roger.

Question 2: What does he do at work?

Question 3: What qualities I like in him?

Question 4: Is he married?

Question 5: Are you married?

Then she took the 2004 tax return, letter from the employer, and something else but Janna did not remember what it was.

Oh, I also did not bother to get the bank letter.

Congrats ! Nothing to worry about. So far everyone that had given their fiancee proper documents for the interview have gotten the visa.

Now it's Janna's turn!

Janna had her medical exam today not far from her home. They asked for her immunization record, so she will have to return Monday and give it to them. Then she will be able to get the package in the evening later that day.

That special day of the year when every boyfiends and husbands migrate to the nearest flower shop with the wallet open in their outreached hands. They would ask, "How much for a flower?" To which the florist would reply, "$100 for a single red rose."

"Ok, get me 11 roses"

Joking aside, anyone using a website to order an flower arrangment for the special gal in russia? Past two times I have used www.flowers-to-russia.com which I thought was a little on the expensive side. But since I am not in Moscow to go and buy flowers there is not much choice in the matter. At least the are quick to reply to any questions that I would ask, usually within an hour. Both time, Janna got her flowers on time and loves it. I will use it again soon within a few days.

On V-day, how do you guys usually show that you think and care about her even though she is far, far away?

Janna's interview is after hers on Friday the same week.
