Guys I had a question regarding the tax transcript for the I-864. The the copy I have for my tax transcript is the one that has on background do not file. Will NVC accept that with my I-864 form. Please help. Thank you

We are also in process of getting police reports for my wife. I have some confusion about the police certificates. She studied & stayed in two different cities (two years each) and now she is back in her hometown.

Does she need police reports from all three cities or just the current city would be enough?

Just get the certificate from where her main address is. My wife lived in a remote small village when she was younger but I only got certificate from Karachi because she lives there now.

Hey guys just got case complete for NVC on FEB 13th and now waiting for interview date. Mine was Aug 15th priority date. My friend who was August 1st filer got his NOA2 on thursday so they are coming.

my application is still in uscis.

don't feel down mate, from my own opinion I feel they process everything pretty fast if they have all the correct paper work and also if there is no issue with background check and bonafide marriage check. When did you file?

Ohhh...maybe you're right. My process was NUTS! But if you've already sent it in or are sending it in, they work pretty quick....you shouldn't wait long at all for them to process it.

Thanks, and yah they have been working pretty fast. It's just a lot of mail money to Fedex stuff overnight to them every time lol...They said everything else was good so hopefully no more missing docs.

you have to send originall nikah nama aka marriage certificate AND translated one. its. requiremnt mentioned on usscis website. they will return it at the time of interview

Thank you isl2011 and yes I did mail in the urdu hand written nikah nama. On NVC website it just said send the original marriage certificate so I thought that meant the original translated one. I should have consulted with members like yourself who went through same process about the marriage certificate because I had my doubts but thought what they hell they gonna do with urdu version if they can't read it lol. What papers should I go ahead and mail to my wife to take with her to interview in Islamabad?

I never sent originals....as a matter of fact, I was unaware that the marriage certificate I had for months was not the long form, it was a short form....but nonetheless, I only sent in a copy of what I had and when I went to the interview they made us return with the actual original marriage cert.

Probably because you changed from K1 to C1 in middle of the process but if you are doing C1 from start, NVC wants original or else you will keep getting a missing document checklist.

It is a requirement for C1 visa to send original everything. In fact they want original and photo copy. If you don't send it they don't move your case to consulate and send you a missing document checklist. Thats part of the rules of C1 visa.

I called the automated NVC system last night and it told me I was missing some document for my package that I sent. After i spoke to a rep at NVC this morning i was informed that I was missing the original marriage certificate. I said but I sent in the original marriage certificate. She said yes we see that but thats the translated english one we also need the urdu original copy from you as well. I didn't know they required different language marriage certificate as well. I thought any documents we had to translate to english and send those in only. She said everything else seems good for your IV and AOS package, and a checklist for urdu marriage certificate will be mailed out to you Friday. I said can I mail it to you guys right now and she said ya go ahead and print out the IV bar code sheet again and send it in. I just overnighted it to NVC so they should get before my checklist is even mailed out tomorrow.

i could not sleep and just decided to call the NVC and see how we are doing.

our case is closed as of feb the 8th.

all forms in and accepted.

next stop as i understand it....

they send us to the embassy and send her an interview date at the London Embassy.

i am very happy..she is still asleep in UK ...been ill and sleeping a lot.

While this is all true, one must understand that the procedures outlined in the shortcuts are the most efficient time wise. Think of it this way. It's as if when you go to the bank, you need to wait in one line to make a deposit and in another line (queue) to make a withdrawal. Yes, you can do both on the same visit to the bank but it takes longer than if you had one person standing in each of the lines. When you send both packages in the same envelope, whichever one is in the wrong queue will wait through that wrong queue until the package that's in that queue is opened and reviewed, then it will get transferred to the correct queue to wait again.

The shortcuts work but short-cutting the shortcuts, defeats the purpose.

I sent both of mine in 1 real big envelope and inside I had 2 yellow envelopes labeled with the addresses from the cover sheet for AOS & IV. Do you think my process still got delayed or the mail room guys will see 2 envelopes and delivery them to the right departments? The big envelope I did send to the attn of CMR.

The mail cost me $56 plus tax to overnight it. I could have sent them with 2 to 3 days but that would have cost $35 for each envelope and everyone says even if there is a delay with NVC mail, it is 2 to 3 days.

August filer here as well. Aug 15 priority date. January 9th case was sent to NVC and i got my NOA2. Paid the AOS fee last week and IV fees two 2 days ago. Will be mailing all my documents together tomorrow.

Yes I did notice those instructions but than I read these forums and everyone seems to be talking about sending in 3 years tax, pay stubs for last 6 months, and job letter. This is why I'm curious and wanting to follow someones advice who has been through the process.

Guys I was a August filer as well. I got NOA2 on January 9th. My case is with NVC and I'm waiting for them to generate my IV fee so i can pay and send my packages in. Do they work cases by date filed or is it a different system?

Guys I'm a little confused about items I need to send with I-864 and would like someone to recommend what all I need to send. I'm currently a 25 year old full time student who is living off loans. I do have a joint sponsor who is going to help me with my I-864.

Since I have not filed taxes I have wrote a letter explaining why I did not need to file.

for my joint sponsor what all do I need to ask them to submit? I know they only have 1 income so no I-864A needed.

The forms instructions doesn't say anything about submitting 3 years tax papers but should I go ahead and ask them to provide me with past 3 years tax anyways?

Do I need their last 6 months paystubs as well?

Is there anything else I should ask my joint sponsor to provide?

Their Embassy services is run by bunch of morons. My mother's Pakistani passport was expired so we went to get new one made here in Houston consulate. They told us they can't make the new electronic passport here and only New York and Los Angeles consulates are able to make the electronic one. I asked if we can or they can mail it in but no they want you to come to their office just so they can take your picture and ask you bio data question. I had to shell out $1400 for me and her to travel to New York urgently and get her the electronic passport so we could travel to Dubai. She always thought she could never pass the U.S. naturalization test because her english is not that good but after we came back from our trip she finally decided it's time to apply. Masallah she passed and became a citizen last Novemeber.

Thanks everyone for your quick replies. I got the email last Wednesday to pay for the I-864 fees and paid them off the same day. I was able to print out the bar code sheet yesterday. Now waiting on the IV fees to be generated so I can pay those as well. Do you guys recommend to go ahead and mail the I-864 packet or wait for the IV fees and send all the documents to NVC together?

Yah I just got my IIN number today and waiting for the fees to be generated. I know i have to pay those fees and print out the bar code page to put in front of the packets. My question is it okay to send my I-864 & DS-230 packets if I have that bar code page.... even if I have not received the packets from NVC?

Hi guys,

I called NVC and finally got my case # and invoice # today. I also found out that in their system they had a typo and put petitioner and beneficiary first name same. A nice lady said she is going to forward this to a supervisor to have them pull original I-130 and have them fix that. I still went ahead and emailed them my copy of I-130 and also a request to fix the name error.

My question for VJ was though should I wait now to receive the I-864 & DS-230 packets from NVC or should I just go ahead and send that over to them since I have all the documents ready.

Also should I wait for them to fix the petitioner name error and than e-mail over the DS-3032 or is it ok to e-mail that at this time?
