Did u say real intentions well he showed his real intentions when he left, u have been given some great advice here please use it sever Ur ties and make sure he hasnt changed the address to get his green cars somewhere else. Hello all it seems that all has been successful thus far, my hubbys medical today then two more weeks for the interview so excited ! #countndown

Although I'm not sure how it works in your country, I think there are a few basic things to keep in mind at the time of the interview.

1. Do not be nervous.

2. Remain calm and collected.

3. Always answer to the point.

4. Do not volunteer any information.

5. Dress comfortably and smartly.

6. If you do not understand a question, make it a point to ask the consular officer to repeat it.

7. Be prepared with all sorts of evidentiary proof, right from logs of emails/calls/chats, pictures, money transfers, to everything. No evidence is too much evidence as far as this process is concerned.

8. Speak out with clarity. Do not mumble/stutter/stammer, as these are signs of low confidence/lack of confidence.

9. Be pleasant and have a smile on your face when the consular officer greets you.

I think this should be good enough. You'll do just fine. You could also go to your country's/consulate's review page and check the various questions people have been asked in there. That helped me a great deal, and I'm sure it would help you too. Good luck!

Hi, yes I would also include the fact that your going to see ur bf because u might need it later for evidence when u apply it wont hurt but i know it would help, good luck on ur journey!

Hi all. I met my bf/fiance online and as I mentioned in another thread, he's currently in probation so he can't leave the country. We haven't met personally but we do spend every spare minute everyday on Skype.

Anyway, I have applied for a tourist visa to the US before but I got denied. I was advised to keep trying to apply or wait until he gets off probation and for him to fly here before we apply for a K1 visa.

I will apply for a tourist visa again but during the interview, should I be explicit about my intentions? I will be staying with family in LA and he'll just fly there and stay with me until I have to leave. His work is flexible so he can stay as long as I am.

I was thinking of just saying to the consul that I will be going there for a vacation and I'll be staying with my relatives. Should I also mention meeting with my bf?
