  1. Last night I received notification that our application was received. The post office delivered it on 7-8 and notification that it was received by USCIS was sent out on 7-27, 19 days after delivery. I sent our application via regular mail and it was sent to the PO Box in Chicago. I am wondering if the people who received faster notifications had their applications delivered directly to the office mailing address via overnight delivery? If that is the case, it would be worth the $30-$50 delivery feed to get it accepted about two weeks earlier.

  2. Per USPS our application was received on July 8th in Chicago. I have not received any notification yet, and the check has not been cashed. Our application included the I-485 (adjustment of status), I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization), I-131 (application for travel document), and the I-864 (affidavit of support.) I did not include the I-694 (medical examination) as my wife had her physical in Colombia in October 2013. I did include a copy of her Vaccination Documentation Worksheet. I am starting to get a little worried, although seeing the above poster that sent their application in on July 1 and received notification on the 20th gives me some hope.

    Good luck to everybody!
