A letter of intent from me.

have i forgotten anything at all?

  2. Hello there.

My fiancees parents are going to be sponsering me for the affadavit of support.

We have given them the form and they have a few questions i cant awnser!

    1. Do they need to give evidence backing up what they say about the funds they have to support me.

    2. do they HAVE to list all their assets or will just enough to cover the 125% poverty line suffice?

  3. thankyou for the information bud very muchly appreciated :D we sent out our i129f on 18th august 2011.

Sorry if i sound dumb i just want to make sure.

$350 for the interview and £210 for the medical? do you mean the $350 = the check we sent to them when we first sent it back in august? or an addditional $350? :D just strange that one wants $$ the other wants ££? and if it is additional do i take the $$ to the us embassy when i go for my interview? feel so lost at the moment lol

  4. Congrats.

In short, your petition will be sent to NVC ( national visa center), then a case number will be assigned to your visa application and your application will be sent to the US Embassy in the UK.

You will receive the so-called packet 3 which tells you what documents you need to gather. You also have to go to medical exam. When you have gathered all the required documents, you call the US embassy and schedule an appointment for interview.

Right now it's a good time to start gathering documents, affidavit of support and financial documents etc

Someone has posted a very good guide for UK somewhere, I can't find it but maybe some other people from UK will help you with that.

p.s. please spend 5 minutes to create/update your timeline, it will help a lot of other people in the forum. Thanks

edited. Please take a look at post #7 in this topic
