Hello all, I am so exhausted, trying to get a receipt of paid traffic violation ticket which i got back in 2009 and was paid at that time USCIS wants me to show the proof that its been paid during my re-interview. I have called courts, DMV and Traffic violation dept., in NYC and no help. I need this for Immigration purpose. If any one was able to get this in past please let me know how you got it, or if you know how to get it then plz plz plz let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Wow I wish you the best of luck with that honestly. When I went in for the interview the IO asked me about anything on my record and on my original application I did not put down that I had two traffic tickets and when it came up I came clean about them and he asked me if they were under 500 dollars and if they were paid off to which I responded yes and he just kept going did not even bother to write down that I had received them and as far as I know USCIS does not request documentation for tickets under 500 dollars.

I don't think they schedule interviews in any particular order. When I went Jan 4th people were scheduled at segmented times to come and when a backlog happened they had us waiting. Luckily I arrived 40 minutes early due to traffic and by 10:15 my interview process was complete and I left the building. As for your District Office as with all offices around the country it's always a hit or miss and you never know what kind of IO you will get until they call your name and you sit down with the person. When I started going through the application with the IO who was handling my interview I was dead scared I didn't want to say anything stupid or make myself seem like a shady character but luckily the entire process went smooth and then the English and Civics questions came up. To be honest as a college student who had studied government quite in depth I felt stupid taking the test but the questions can seem tough so just do your best and best of luck to you and hope you get to walk across that stage soon!!!
OATH CEREMONY QUESTION..HELP!

As far as I know unless there is a large group with name changes all Oath Ceremonies with a name change have to be done under a US District Court judge which take longer so they are usually scheduled on a case by case basis but you never know if the judge doesn't have much to do you are good to go and then you can officially become a US Citizen. Now I don't know how Atlanta operates but that is the way they do it down here in Tampa but you can always call the 1-800 number and ask them if you feel you need specific information.
