  1. When you arrived at Narita someone will assist you of where you need to go, give you instructions and will take you to the waiting area for a bus that will go to Haneda aiport with estimated one hour and half travel time. I am not sure if the system is still the same cause my experience was a year ago.

Thanks alot for the info.Is there any fee for the bus ride?

  2. Me and my son are going to the US soonest through japan airlines..How to get haneda from narita,we will arrive narita airport at 8:55pm.and we have airport change to haneda and depart there at 12:05am bound for sfo.Is 4 hours layover is enough for airport change, what is the best transportation to haneda airport?

  3. Thanks. Do you have a link with that info? I can’t find it anywhere on the Cebu Pacific website.

Now, that’s an idea... I’ll talk with my fiancée about it when we next chat.

Go to their website and click your city of destination say for example davao to manila and the date and click search there is an option of best fare then click continue and you'll see the baggage allowance option..LBC isn't that cheap i tell you that I'd rather have a baggage check in.

  4. Well, they can only take the medical once we receive the NOA2, so I really don't know how much in "advance" that would be. The airfare isn't the issue... it's the excess baggage fees.

Well, mostly airlines include standard fees of baggage when you purchase a ticket, cebu pacific don't they offer choices of your baggage..like other airline hand carry is free which is 15 pounds..if you feel like your hand carry is more than 15 pounds you can check it in..there are choices 30pounds for 150pesos,45pounds for 200pesos,55pounds for 400pesos and 65pounds for 700pesos.hope this well help.

  5. Thanks! I'll have her read this thread when next she's online.

For me to take ferries is not safe and it hassle, too crowded when you get off the ship there are many bad guys around..they can take medical in advance just to avoid delay if ever they can encounter problem with their medical say for example kid will be positive in TST and fiancee require to have sputum test at least they have enough time to do some test if needed..cebu pacific isn't that expensive specially when you can grab their promo, when i flew to cebu for my CFO my airfare my 1008pesos roundtrip, its safer and its quicker..

  6. You and I are in the same boat, with similar circumstances. My lady also lives on Mindanao. In my case, my fiancee also has a 5 y.o. son traveling with her, which doubles airfare costs. They will have to stay in a Manila hotel for 4 nights.

Here's my current plan for the medicals, CFO seminar and interview:

Day 0 - they both fly to Manila in the afternoon and check in at hotel

Day 1 - they both do the St. Luke's medical

Day 2 - my fiancee attends the CFO seminar (no visa required to attend)

Day 3 - they both complete the medicals

Day 4 - interview & return to Mindanao

Day 5 - optional overnight stay in case of delays

After receiving the US visa at 2GO in the local Mindanao office, we book their trip to the US.

    Departure scenario:

Morning flight to Manila; go pick up CFO sticker ASAP; go back to airport and wait for evening flight to US.

We felt that the risk was too great to have her take the CFO seminar on the outbound leg of the journey at the same time. Completing the CFO requirement and just picking up the sticker should be much simpler.

If necessary, we can also plan for her to stay 1 night in Manila in order get the sticker into her passport.

Doing it this way eliminates an extra round trip for both my finacee and her son just to deal with the CFO sticker.

your wife can do cfo seminar while she is manila they will give her the certificate and she will just come back for the sticker when she get her visa or before her flight there is cfo office at the airport.cebu is fine you'll get done in one day with the sticker stamp on the visa.

  7. Thank you for the links. Mainly I am concerned that I will be forced to go over there to file this in person and that is tough because I own my own construction business and it is very difficult to make the time to go on a trip like that. Things I have read are a little confusing because it refers to parent(s) and my question is does that mean either parent (american or not)can file these papers? I prefer her to deliver them to the consulate there.

i think you or your wife have to file cbra for your child at us embassy manila..

  8. My fiancee is on Mindanao. We're hoping that she and her son can start the medical on a Monday and be done by Wednesday, giving 2 days for the results to get to the embassy for a Friday interview. We don't want to have to fly both of them up there twice just to get the interview done.

good timing she is being schedule for interview on friday, mine was wednesday and had no choice than to fly manila twice cuz it will cost me alot if i did stay there..make sure she is not having her monthly period during her medical.did you find hotel for them?if not try the casa bocobo its nice, clean, free wifi and its affordable and walking distance to st.luke clinic and just 5mins.ride to us embassy.from where your fiancee in mindanao?im from butuan city northern part.

  9. i had my interview 2weeks after my medical but she have her medical at least 5 days before her interview date,.i did it in advance cuz the schedule of my menstrual cycle was close to my interview date and you can't complete your medical if you have it.what particular province or city is your fiancee?

  10. Thank you. How soon after you completed the medical did you have your interview?

my original plan was 5days before my interview and stay manila at least 9days for medical and interview,i'm from mindanao area its hassle and expensive to fly to manila but i ended up having my medical 2 weeks before interview cuz that week before interview was my menstrual cylce/monthly period schedule and i dont want to mess around cuz you can't complete medical if you have it they will tell you to come back after your monthly period..i did figured out its expensive to stay longer in manila so what i did was i flew twice in manila for medical and interview..during medical we stayed 4days and during interview we stayed 3days..9 days is enough for medical and interview.what particular province or city is your fiancee?

  11. Cool beans. Thanks!

I and my 5 years old son went our medical at st. luke last dec.2011,there was no problem their staff will assist you where to go and what to do next..don't worry about your child they will watch your child when your fiancee is having her test..take note the child result will take 48hours so be prepare 3days total on their medical.in our case we went there monday we got done the most part on that day and we went back on wednesday for the result but your fiancee can get hers on the next day and her child on the following day in our case i decided to get mine together with son's result..
