skv got a reaction from N M in Case Type: "Approved"
I received the same form as mentioned here, the two page Notice of Receipt with "CRI89 APPROVED REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS (I89)". I did not think that this meant that that the case has been approved. People have been waiting for >6 months and it is too much to expect our cases to be approved within weeks. There is nothing that different about us. Plus the notice clearly states that it does not mean the case has been adjudicated.
Following this chain of thought I did a search and found this page on USCIS' site:
    http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=201bac3a8595a110VgnVCM1000004718190aRCRD&vgnextchannel=68439c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD
The page states that USCIS will change language in notices that state what we got. From the page, "The current transfer notice currently contains the following phrase: “CRI89 approved removal of conditions (I89).” That statement means that the biometric portion of the case has been successfully transferred; it does not, however, mean that the petition itself was approved."
The kicker is that this page is from 2008. Maybe its not a surprise.
So the wait continues. Sorry to crush the expectations.
