  1. If there is anyone here who has appointment for Sept 2009 to Oct 2009 for F2B category please update.

    Thanks.

For Lizzy2329 or anyone who would like to know:

My two brothers are in F2B category with a priority date of September 24, 2009.

The younger brother got his case completed two weeks ago but has not been scheduled for an interview yet. We've already called the NVC twice and they've confirmed that there's no appointment scheduled yet.

We are aware that people in the Spanish-speaking immigration forums with priority dates of September 27, 2009 and October 9, 2009 have already received their appointment letters to be interviewd in June of this year.

The fact that my brother didn't have his case completed until recently is one of the reasons he hasn't received his appointment letter.

The good thing is that he's cool about it :)

  2. Sorry 4 late reply Limenita. Basically am little bit busy for managing things before living my homeland.

    Here is our story.

My Son appointment was scheduled at 7:00 am 2nd May 2016 at US Embassy Islamabad. But we reach embassy around 6:00 am. There were already so many people ahead of my son who are in queue for receiving token. It takes approximately 1.5 hours for getting token .

After so many security checking we reach embassy hall. Here approximately 20 counters in which 1 to 8 for non immigration and 9 to 20 for immigration . Here we wait approximately half an hour after that our token number call on counter 11. for finger print verification and token no verification after that they say to us to sit and wait for further processing.

After fifteen minutes they call our token number again on counter 9 and there was local person behind the window collect my son passport and medical and ask him some simple questions.

    1:- are you married?

    2:- who call u?

3:- after that he ask me how can you lives in Pakistan for more than one years?

and i show him my travel document.(I131)

after that he takes sign for my son on a piece of paper i think its a oath/ affidavit declaring that he still unmarried and told us to wait for next call .

After half an hour they call us on counter 15 Here American immigration officer in front of us

First of all they greeting to us after that He ask my son to raise your hand and take an oath.after taking an oath my son ask him if you don't mind could you please provide me the interpreter and he just say okay. Then he examines every documents in front of us that we send them from USCIS to NVC (e.g:- i130 approved, birth certificate, domicile, marriage certificates, death certificates, affidavits, school records, pictures, income tax returns, passport and so many other things )after that he ask my son following questions,

    1:- who call u?

2:- Tell me marriage date of your step Mom with your father.

3:- At what date your biological mother has been died?

4:- Death cause of your biological mother?

5:- At what date your father has been died?

6:- what is your age when your mother has been died?

7:- what is your age when your father married with your step mom?

8:- Who is she that come with you?

after that officer ask me just two question

9:- Ma'am, How much time you are in Pakistan?

10:- Do you have any document to show me that how you can live more than one year in Pakistan?

and i show him my travel document.

after that he write something in computer. and say to me

Congratulation we have approved your Visa.

For leaving may be end of this month or first week of June we will schedule because there are so many things that could be manage before living and there is no family member left who could manage thing on behalf of us.

So That is our visa journey.

Good luck to Everyone and Thanks.

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to write the details of your son's interview!!!!

    Best wishes,

    Limenita22

  4. He did mention that when i receive appoint letter it will be via email. So i just made sure my email was there.

What i asked him: if next month visa bulliten comes out and my priority becomes current if then we will get appointment letter and he said yes.

In your opinion when do you think we will receive appointment letter?

In my opinion, I think you'll receive your interview letter in your e-mail Inbox either at the end of May or at the end of June.

However, I hope I'm wrong and you actually receive it at the end of this month :)

  5. hi limenita22,

Unfortunately it wasn't our interview letter!!This letter was dated since last year July 2015 and apparently it strayed and went to panama!!

This letter was for us to choose an agent,Aos etc.

I called the NVC and the guy that i spoke to said the letter should be disregarded because all documents were sent in and our case has already been completed. He said the only thing we should be waiting on now is the appointment letter. He said i would have to wait for our priority to become current before we get appointment letter.

What was puzzling to me was that he said they are working on visas for June 2009!! I don't understand!!

I just want this to be over!!

    Hi Lizzy2329,

I thought that interview letters come via e-mail nowadays so I thought it was strange that you had to go to the post office to pick up this packet. Thank you for clearing that up.

What the guy told you is the truth, they are working on visas for those with priority date June 2009. The April visa bulletin shows June 2009 and we're still in April.

I think a batch of interview letters go out to petitioners and beneficiaries at the end of this month and the beginning of next month.

    Best of luck!!

  6. Hi, thanks for your respond. Actually after many endeavor to reach to any one at the USA ABUDHABI embassy, i found it out that i ahve to go there, so this friday am goanna ther to talk with officer, but the positive point is taht my Agent is also comming from USA to Emirates because of this. So i think it will be a good decision to have the most valuable and relaiable asnwers about my condition.

Best of luck!!! Ask them all questions and concerns you have so you can give them whatever proof they need and you can soon get your visa. Let us know how it went :)
  7. Right, I am referring to F2B. It means you have seen lots of F2B categories were living in the USA but they had to leave USA for their interview or you mean you just have one case in your mind that he/she lived in the USA and had the interview in the USA?

I am wondering once my PD becomes current should I leave US or I would be able to do the procedure here in the USA. It should be noted that I am living in the USA legally.

He was a F2B beneficiary and he was physically present in the U.S when the time came for him to be interviewed. After he posted his interview experience on the Univision immigration forum, I asked him how it was possible for him to have had his interview in the U.S. I told him that every F2B candidate must have their interview in their home country or the country where they legally reside.

He replied saying that it was possible for him because he had a certain visa status in the U.S. (which I don't remember now). I don't remember if he held an immigrant or a non-immigrant visa category at the time of his interview.

I would happily look that conversation up for you, but the Univisiom immigration forum is closed down.

I hope you can find your answer. The NVC might be able to shed some light.

  8. Hi,

I have a general question: I am living in US right now. I was wondering should I leave US for my visa interview? Is there any place in US that I would be able to go there for the interview?

    Thanks.

You are referring to F2B category, right?

I've only read of one case where a F2B candidate was allowed to have his interview in the U.S.

As far as I know and for the most part, you will have your F2B interview in your home country or the country where you legally reside (outside the U.S).

  9. Hi,there,

My interview was held in January 7th, yhe officer told me i have to show more evidence about my petitioner's Domiciling. But they didn't mentioned any specific date . I wanba know what should i bring for them, how can i prove , how much time do i have. Please help me if you can.

It's been 3 months already. If you really have no clue of what to take, how to prove or how much time you have, you should reach out to them and ask them all these questions. I assume the officer would have given you some guidelines of what proof to present when he was telling you that you needed more evidence.

  10. Anjum,

The priority date in the attachment doesn't appear to be correct, by 12/8/2009 I'm guessing that it mean 12th August. In your footer timeline you mention NOA1 date as 2009-JUL-27, which one is correct priority date? The person I'm helping has a priority date of June 27 and got interview for May 6. She is under F2B and in India.

Though I'm not an attorney, I'll add my 2 cents for others who are asking when does NVC issues interview letter - if you call NVC they will tell you that you'll get interview letters only after your visa date becomes current. These dates become public when we see visa bulletin. NVC knows based on data received from embassies and USCIS and have calculations in place at-least 2 weeks before that. Since Anjum's child's PD is either 27th July or 12th Aug, I'm guessing the MAY visa bulletin that will be out in next 8 days, F2B is moving at-least 6-8 weeks i.e. priority date would be either August 1, 2009 or August 15, 2009.

    Sap283,

Anjum123's priority date is July 27, 2009 (F2B category) and received interview letter in the month of March.

Nam Bâo An's priority date is August 12, 2009 (F2B category) and received interview letter in the month of March. (See picture attached)

Alshah's priority date is June 24, 2009 (F2B category) and received interview letter in the month of March.

The person you are helping has a priority date of June 27, 2009 (F2B category) and received interview letter a few days ago.

The NVC sent interview letters to these 4 people at least one month before the new visa bulletin would show that their priority date is current.

That's just awesome because, from this, we can assume that the F2B visa category on the May 2016 visa bulletin will move to August 15, 2009, at least.

Lizzy2329, from this, you can assume (as a general rule) that the NVC will send you your interview letter about one month before your priority date shows as current on the new visa bulletin. I hope it makes a little more sense now.

    Limenita22

PS: I'm no lawyer either. I make assumptions based on the very limited knowledge acquired over the past years.

  11. Limenite22,

Please find attachment and check priority date.

    Anjum123,

Thank you for the quick reply!!!

This person, Nam Bâo An, in the F2B visa category, who has a priority date of August 12, 2009, has already received his interview letter, then, that means that the May 2016 visa bulletin will at least move to August 15, 2009. That's fantastic news!!

    Thank you, Heavenly Father!

    Limenita22

  12. .

Their case has been completed since last year and they are only waiting for their interview.

    Dear Lizzy2329,

The sponsor should have another joint sponsor in mind/ready in case the aunt goes through the withdrawal process which must be done in writing and submitted to the appropriate immigration entity.

What if the aunt doesn't go through the withdrawal process and the embassy interviewer asks the beneficiary for the joint sponsor's 2015 tax return copies?? Is the aunt going to be willing to give it to you guys?

PS: I was kind of in your situation so I have another joint sponsor willing to commit if necessary.

    Limenita22

  13. Well, think about it. If your case has been completed for a while and let's say your priority date is going to be current on the July 2016 visa bulletin, wouldn't it make sense for the NVC to send you your interview letter in the month of June to let you know that your interview is in July?

If that doesn't make sense, then just go back 30 pages or so on this forum in order to realize that interview letters almost always come one month before the visa bulletin shows that your priority date is current.

Or you can just take my word for it.

Either way, I wish you good luck and a speedy process :)

    Limenita22

CORRECTION: I meant to write "wouldn't it make sense for the NVC to send you your interview letter at the end of May or the very beginning of June to let you know that your interview is in July?

If it doesn't make sense, simply go back 30 pages on this forum and start reading posts about when people received their interview letters and make note of their priority date in order to realize that..."

I'm writing from my phone so the edit button doesn't want to work.

  14. Does anyone know if your joint sponsor decides to withdraw from your case what happens?A friend of mine has this problem and everything about there case was completed and they are only waiting on interview letter.

I'm sure that after the NVC received notification that the joint sponsor has withdrawn from the case (if that's possible), I assume they would have e-mailed the sponsor some sort of instructions telling him or her how to proceed next.

Or are you saying that the joint sponsor has verbally stated he or she would like to withdraw but hasn't really taken any action?

  15. I really dont know.I feel very optimistic though hopefully i will get interview letter before my priority date which is 26 Oct,2009

  16. Limenita,

Submit your brother documents urgently as it takes approximately 1 month for reviewing your documents to case completion. As it seems to be that your brother priority date going to be current in next month.

You know what? You are right.

I was going to wait until the sponsor and joint sponsor filed their 2015 taxes, but I won't. I'm going to start working on the AOS packages now. Yeah, that's what I'll do :)

  17. My Priority Date is "27th July 2009"

    Category "F2B"

It seems to be that next visa bulletin will moves 2 months a head in F2B CATEGORY because some of my fellows whose priority date is August 2009 also got interview letters.

    Dear Anjum123,

Do you know your friends' exact priority dates in August 2009? I'm referring to the ones that have received their interview letters for May.

If so, please, please, please, let us know.

    Thank you,

    Limenita22

  18. Checked my email and did receive the interview letter for May 2nd :)

    Alshah,

That's wonderful news! I'm very happy for you. Congratulations from Arizona, USA!!!

What made you think you had to wait until the end of April or beginning of May to receive your letter? I thought that was crazy, haha. Nonethless, congratulations again! Your journey is coming to an end. Enjoy these last steps :) and good luck!

    Limenita22

PS: Thank you very much for letting us know that you received your interview letter!

  19. Priority date is 27th July,2009 and got interview date in May?How is that possible?!!Nevertheless that's good news.

My priority date is 26th Oct,2009.

    Dear Lizzy2329,

It is, in fact, possible. As you may know, interview letters are almost always received about a month before the next visa bulletin shows that your priority date is current.

With that being said, do you all know what it means for the rest of us that someone with a priority date of July 27th, 2009 in the F2B category received their interview letter for an interview in May of this year?

If you don't, I'll be more than happy to explain.

Otherwise, enjoy the fact that the visa bulletin keeps moving forward for us, F2Bs.

    Regards,

    Limenita22
