  1. Hey everyone, the case for my wifes EAD was finally entered into the system but we now have this as the current status:

    Initial Review

On March 20, 2013, your name was updated relating to your I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

My question is, was her name updated in the system with her married name, which is the name we used when we filled for the AOS & EAD?

    Any help would be great.

  2. Hello everyone,

Does the I-134 form need to be notarized? My fiancee recieved the instructions of what she needs to bring for interview and it states the I-134 needs to notarized. I have not seen anyone else needing to have it notarized. Plus, looking at the form, there is no space available for someone to notarize it. Any input would be great.

  3. Hey everyone just needed some peoples’ opinion/perspective on my situation. So my K-1 petition was approved on March 22. NVC finally entered our information on April 11th and gave me a NVC case number. Called Friday, April 20th and was told that my case should be sent to the embassy early next week (this week). So I called NVC today to see if the case had been sent out and was just informed that out application was placed in AP yesterday, April 23. So I have a few questions:

    1) Is it normal to be placed on AP more than a month after being approved?

    2) What is the average time I need to wait to be removed from AP?

    3) If/when would be the best time for me to involved my congressman/senator in this matter?

This whole situation is insane. I don’t understand why there were so many delays AFTER the petition being approved.

  4. Ok, so I just received a text message from USCIS. They have received my RFE response. I am guessing they sent the RFE to my lawyer and he sent them the information they were requesting. He must have just forgotten to tell me about the RFE. Well at least they have the information and I can get the approval soon.

  5. My RFE Letter was supposed to be sent out on February 24th, yet I still haven’t received it. I called USCIS and they told me there isn’t anything they can do until this Friday when I need to call them back and they will put in a service request. This is so frustrating. I was hoping to have the information returned to them by now. Well I have a few questions:

Has anyone heard/went through anything like this?

Can someone explain to me what happens after a service request has been put in and how long do I have to wait till I hear a response?

Would this be a good reason to get my congressman/senator involved?

Any information will be very helpful and appreciated. Thanks
