we receieved RFE in the mail. there was no status update online except for address change. we had about about two months to respond to the RFE. after we submitted RFE documents, it took about three weeks to get approved. we did not have an interview. hope this helps!

we are finally approved!! case status updated yesterday. we received RFE in july and our case was stuck until we sent all evidence again on 9/08. i think we received RFE for change of address after we filed I-751. anyways feels great to be approved!!!!!!!

My mother is a USC. Both her father and brother passed away tragically last year. Her mom is still living in india. She is 70 plus years old and no one to take care of her in india. Pending her medical exam, my mom would like to petition to bring her to the US. Based on my grandma's age and living situation, is there a possibility to expedite the I-130 application? Please advise. We are concerned about her health and would like to bring her to the US asap depending.

also there is the possibility of us moving again to a different state for my husbands job within a month or so. so i am not comfortable changing the address to our current residential address. i would rather use my parents address.

my husband entered the US on 6/27/12 with CR-1. We were then living with my parents. Following my new job, we moved to a different state about ten months ago. I did not file a change of address nor did i change the address for my banking accounts/credit cards as we are living in an apartment and i want to use my parents address as permanent address for all important mails. we will have to apply for removal of conditions soon after 03/27/14. should we submit a AR-11 form ? we both have a lease agreement on the apt and drivers license and auto title/insurance in the new address. or can we just use a different physical address and mailing address on i-751 form? please advise.

my spouse is from india.. and maybe somebody who knows better can help? ....... he just got his reissued new passport from the Chennai Passport office last week... he lives in pondicherry.... when he tried to obtain a PCC at the chennai passport office..... they refused saying that they dont have the clearance yet from the police station.... do we require a local police clearance certificate to get one from the passport office?... we will be going thru the mumbai embassy.... so i was under the impression that he had to get only one from the passport office... please help!

ok.... so we got approved for I-130. our NOA1 date is sept 26th..... i had also filed I-129f with NOA1 date of OCt21st.... i had my congressman office contact USCIS last week and they told him it would take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks..... my senator's office agreed to put in an inquiry today after the processing time changed on the USCIS website... i had just faxed in the form to the senators office...... and i received the approval notice email 30 minutes later saying that my petition had been approved on march 20th!!....we dont know if it was mere coincidence or the fact that our congressman's office made inquiries last week... the outcome is good!!... should we still worry abt getting approval for the 129f??..r does it not matter anymore now that the I-130 is approved?

i had also called USCIS last week... n i was told theyre working on sept10th petitions for I-130 and Oct 16th petitions for 129f.... so either way they wouldn't put in a service request for me.... i thought ill just wait it out... for u guys still waitin for the approval... its coming!!... if possible do try to get ur congressman or senator's office involved..... i hope it all works out for everyone!... god bless!!

i had just faxed in the form to my congressman's office on monday and i was trying to reach them over the phone. they returned the call today. upon his inquiry, he was told that most likely within the next 2-4 weeks i should hear something. he also mentioned that it was more likely to be two weeks than four. he sounded very sincere about wanting to help. i am a sept 26th filer. so hopefully you hear something this week?? i really pray that you do!!

FYI all, I called my congressman's office today and had them open an inquiry into my status.

The response I got was:

For August 9, the Initial Review number went up from 564 on 3/2 to 627 on 3/9. Any ideas why?
