Sorry for the late response. My AOS got rejected due to incorrect fees. We re-sent it in December and got the NOA1 the first week of January. Good luck to everyone.

I have yet to encounter anyone who has done it in a day. It usually takes 2 days... more even, if they ask you for additional tests (psychiatric, pregnancy, sputum, etc.) Check out the website of St. Luke's extension clinic for more info. http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml

hi cyberfx... that's because during the interview, numbers are called in random order (in the Q-Matic). And I'm never lucky in random things... raffle draws, lotto, bingo-- you name it. My number just seems to keep on getting skipped! :D

@jadeandash: Yes, you may already pay the visa fee and set your interview. It is also good to have your fiance accomplish the Affidavit of Support (I-134), gather the supporting documents (his pay stubs, W-2, Form 1040, employment letter, bank statements, etc.) and send these to you asap. It's good also to check the Interview Preparation link at the USEmbassy that I posted on your wall, and get all those requirements r...

  18. how do i find out if NVC has my petition? how

    1. caelo

      caelo

What is important is that NVC has sent the approved petition to Manila. They send an electronic copy of the case along with the hard copy. If NVC has already done this, then USEM already knows about the approved case. You and your fiancee may already check the link I've mentioned above for the instructions regarding payment and setting an interview.

Hi! What I did was to email the USEM in Manila to inquire if they have received our approved case from NVC. Below is their reply to my email: (Our NOA2 was on May 1, 2012.)

      -quoted email-

We received the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)-approved visa petition (I-129F) from the State Department's National Visa Center (NVC) on May 21, 2012 and notified you in writing that you are now eligible to schedule a visa interview appointment.

Yes. That means you can already pay your visa fee and set an interview date. You can also send an email to the US Embassy in Manila to ask if they have already received it from NVC. Everything will be faster now... Good luck!
