  2. yes he from pakistani, and has been in england for the past 5 years..

my fiance is from Bangladesh.our visa was going thru AP in london embassy also and my fiances authorization to stay in uk is expiring soon so i called this num#090450100,explained our situation.they gave me CIU code and i emailed consulate unit last week.they emailed us back and told us that he will receive his passport back with in 5-7 days.i called department of state today to check again and our case is not in AP anymore :) may be u can try doing this.I am not sure if they issued him the visa or not .Only god knows :(

  3. I can't say, they are being purposely vague. I am no better with vague answers than you. I do KNOW they will not expedite or waive the AP process because he needs to leave the country. If they have already received everything they need maybe it is just a review and approval that is needed. And the passport will arrive with the visa. If not, they will return the passport and contact him to bring it back when they are ready to put the visa in it.

i called the department of state today they told me administrative process is over but they cant tell me the decision yet :help:

  4. Did they say VISA or did they say PASSPORT? You have asked for the PASSPORT back due to the need to travel, that usually means they will send the passport minus the visa. When AP is completed they will contact him and ask him to return the passport to have the visa put in it. They will not waive or expedite AP because your fiance needs to leave the country.

You also have made the assumption that they ONLY need what they asked you for. Not likely. They are probably waiting on other information from other countries to complete the AP.

    sorry here is the email:

Embassy records show that your fiancé visa application is now in the final stages of processing. You should anticipate receiving your passport within the next 5 – 7 workdays.

I called NVC after i received this email they told that is still in process and its in a pretty good shape (whatever that means)

I am just confused.i need need to know what the chance of getting visa?

  6. Little confused here. You told the consulate that he has to make a timely departure out of the UK in order to comply with his student visa, essentially implying that he's leaving the UK whether he gets his K1 visa or not. Is that correct?

I'm reluctant to believe that the consulate is going to feel any urgency in handling his K1 visa application just because his status in the UK is about to expire. They're more likely to think that if time was an issue then he should have waited until he'd returned to his home country to apply for a visa to the US. You never know, though. Sometimes you get a CO who actually has a heart.

It's hard to read between the lines and interpret exactly what they're saying. If they said he'd get his passport back within 5 to 7 days then they may have already sent it to him. Or, maybe his visa has already been approved and his passport is in the queue to get a visa printed. Dunno.

    he is from BANGLADESH.

    Dear Consulate,

I am ****** (Beneficiary of a K1-fiance visa),date of birth :(*********),Case no : (**********).Name of the petitioner is *******,date of birth : (*******).Our case is under administrative process.

I submitted the requested documents along with my passport on February 23rd,2012.My Authorization to stay in the United Kingdom expiring on April 23rd,2012.I was wondering if I would be able to get my passport back so I can make a timely departure from the Country.I would really appreciate if you could look into my case and come to a final decision.

that's what i wrote them and they replied that my fiance will get his visa in 5-7 business days.

  8. Hello everyone,

my fiance had his interview on FEB 09th in london U.S EMBASSY.My lawyer gave us a wrong affidavit of support form so the consulate asked for the correct form and some evidence that will support his Birth Certificate. So we sent out everything along with my fiances passport on Feb23rd but our problem was my fiance is living under student visa in UK.His visa will expire end of april and he needs his passport to make a timely departure from UK.so we emailed the consulate unit explaining out situation and they email us back after 6 days saying that my fiance will receive his passport within 5-7 days and our visa is in final processing. What does that mean??did my fiance get a visa or they are just sending him his passport back?I am very confused please help ..... :crying:

  9. First, if you have now provided the correct affidavit of support, there is every reason to expect the K1 visa will be issued within a couple weeks. If not, yes, he can request his passport and can request the case be transferred to Dhaka. I doubt either will be necessary.

thanks and how do i do that?
