Wear it or not, its not that big of deal. But if want to avoid problems, just take them off before POE.

If she lived in taipei, just go to the main police department, and they will send you the police record within three days. other place just go to police station and file, or she can file it online. its very easy

Dont get marry too soon, best is to wait 3-4 months then get marry. He can stay there and do the AOS after marriage, but it still depend on the immigration officer. If you marry too soon, they might think you are visa fruad, so good luck.

If you invest in US, yes they will give you visa and let you do AOS, but if you stay out of US with GC for too long, next time you return, they will take it away at the POE. Taiwan president used to have GC, but he give it up to become a president, his daugther were born in US, so they are US citizen and taiwanese citizen.

I'm hoping someone can help me with this:
My wife is from Taiwan, and is currently here on J1 visa, and we are getting ready to submit an I-130 and I-864 for concurrent filing. However, we've run into one snag, apparently in Taiwan they don't have birth certificates like we do here in the US, and since one of the requirements for I-864 is a birth certificate, what should we do? Is there some alternate documentation we can provide or perhaps another form? We're trying to make sure we submit all the needed documents so we don't run into delays in the process. Any help from people who've been in this situation, especially with Taiwan would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
We do have birth cerificate, she can either go to her parents to ask if they kept the orginal, or go to her family hourse area's household registration office to get, or go to her birth hostipal to apply for the english version.

I dont know what kind of visa my dad use to take me there in 1990, and i ask him he cant remeber either(he is 70 )So what type of visa should i put? and 20 years ago he apply the visa for me, so i dont know if i ever been refused before, what should i put? Hi, my fiance is going through divorce right now, and will be final in June. And she is coming to see me after divorce is final, and we plan to file K1 after that. Is there any risk in filing so close to the finalization of divorce? And most of our proof on ongoing relation is after she move out and filed for divorce, will that be a problem? We knew each other for over 20 years, and didnt start until she decide she want out of her marriage. Can anyone tell me what are my risks and need to be more prepare for. Thank you

I check there is no waiting period after divorce in california. Course after filing divorce have to wait 6 months for the divorce to finalize. My question is , can the letter and cards and messages we send each other after filing divorce but before finalize, used as proof of our relationship? she move out since november, we chat everyday, she will come here after she get her final divorce paper, and only engage here in taiwan , and wait for the K1 to pass then we will really get marry in the state. that will be another 6 to 8 months pass, so that's not getting marry right away.

first question.
have the both of you already met? what country are you in?
I met her when i was 16, and i lived in taiwan, she is us citizen. she came here to meet me last august.

Hi everyone, i was study in us high school from oct. 1991 to june 1993, and i left before i was 18, i read some articles and it says that's call overstay, but i never apply for a visa since. But now i wan to go to US for a tour, on the form for visa are two questions i dont know how to answer, please help me. One is did i even been to US and on what visa, but i was too little and my dad handle the visa, i just follow what he told me, so i dont know what visa i had. Second one is have i ever been denied from a visa apply, only time i apply is when i was 14, and my dad go apply for me, so i dont know if i had been denied or not. So what should i put on the application form, and will i have a good chance to get a visa? Does the law starting in 96 apply to me also?
