Interesting article....were it true.
Unfortunately, it's not.

and

So drink your Coke, folks!
I was going to say the same
I saw on the show on discovery channel "Mythbusters", were they try certain myths or supposed facts to see if it's real...they put steak in coke for days and it never dissolved! They also tested out other things I believe also the nail, also wasn't true.
Also, the acid in our stomachs to digest food is much more powerful than acid in Coke, and also the whole "coke can clean a battery on your car thing", doesn't really mean a lot beacuse a lot of things could clean your car's battery.
But, it is still of course healthier to drink water than coke!
I just watched a Mythbusters episode the other night on this same thing. The Coke will not dissolve a T-Bone,however, it WILL tenderize the hell out of it.
Also, it WILL clean the grease from the bumper of your car, but it won't clean blood off the road. It'll also restore the shine to your old pennies. Yay coke!!!
oops, didn't see your post!
But hey now I am your witness that it was real!
what else will clean your battery?
seltzer/sparkling water, which is just bubbly water without the stickiness from sugar and other ingredients of coke. Also baking soda and water.
what about fish sticks? I happen to have some of those handy

Yesterday on CNN i saw that at a wedding, not sure where, i forget, the brides step dad got impatient waiting for the cake to be cut, so he stabbed the brides DAD and brother.
Makes me think twice about inviting my family members to my wedding now
I think I saw that on the Sopranos
I said cut the fuhkn cake or I'll cut yew
Something tells me there's more to that than just being impatient that the cake wasn't cut.......The guy was obviously a "screaming mimi"....

I love coke....I am a coke a holic, actually a carbonation a holic. Those fizzy little bubles get me every time.
I prefere lemon or lime flavored seltzer water. It's SOOOOO good. Sweet things don't quench my thirst.

A wife who installed spyware on her husband's computer to secretly record evidence of an extramarital affair violated state law.

Don't worry, there are plenty of fish in the sea
just make sure the next fish is within a decade of your age and you probbly won't have this problem next time.
That's just rude. You shouldn't make personal judgements on anyone else's relationships. He didn't ask for advice on whom he should marry, and so therefore you should keep comments like those to yourself.

I've never spoken to ANYONE who's ever given me a straight answer on that damn line. And everytime you call you get a different answer. People want immigration reform? START THERE!!!!!!

I have an appointment scheduled for my biometrics and would like to know how long it will take for me to get my EAD once I have attended the biometrics appointment?
You should have the EAD no later than 90 days after they receive the petition. However, if you don't get it within that time, I would suggest making an infopass appointment to figure out what's going on. David and I didn't know you were supposed to have it within 90 days and we waited and waited for months (over a year) and when we finally got in touch with our congressman, and he got in touch with USCIS we found out that they had lost his fingerprints and we needed to come back in.

Did someone say pulling out and putting back in???
You've twisted my words!!! I feel so dirty!!!!!!! ....... I like it!

She put the software on her HUSBANDS computer. The OP installed the software on HIS computer. She's not even his wife yet. There was no law broken.
depends on the particular state law. as he is in washington, it seems such is against the law.
the below link cites a case where parents cannot even put it on the computer their kids use.

I tried to view the link, but it's giving me an error....if you could try it again, I'd really like to read it!

Hello Everyone!!
We are new here. We did post a bit about us in the "Introducing Our Members" section of the forum.
We have our interview next week--May 3. Paul just received his social security card the same day we received the letter to come in for the interview. We did not have time to get anything in both names since he did NOT have a social yet. We do have a joint checking account in both names and our home phone bill in both names, but that is all. We didn't have time for anything else since we received the notice of our interview so quickly. We don't even have a lease for the place we're at. I haven't had a lease for 3 years, so I hope those two things will be ok. I do have loads of pics however. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Melanie and Paul
Whoopsies.....Are/Is
When you're at the interview, let them know that he's only been here a short time and you've yet to put his name on bills and such. I wouldn't worry too much about it, considering you have a joint checking account. I'm sure you'll be just fine. Good luck!!!!!

I have to admit, I looked at that too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*cough cough* I knew I shouldn't have worked at that chicken farm last weekend!!!!!!!

We have hit a roadblock on EAD. We asked, of ourselves the same questions.
Six months down the road, with no Drivers liscense, no social security and no valid identification to be in America we are a little more humble. If you are " kept " woman, or man then you have no need for the EAD. If not then you are screwed. There is more to this than working. It is about driving, cashing checks, and being a generaL AMERICAN.
It really depends on if you can afford to file for the EAD on top of everything else, and what state you live in. David was able to get a DL WITHOUT an EAD. I guess it's just like everything else, a personal decision that no one should be pressured into making one way or the other.

Does anyone know what causes the wide range of time it takes for an approval on a I-129F.I know on the rcpt it says from 60 to 180 days, why is that?
I think it may have something to do with how backlogged the service center is. I could be wrong though.

The first job David got when he received his EAD was absolute #######. And because he had no experience and was afraid he wouldn't find another job, he stayed in it for nearly two years. His last day of work there was Friday so we could get our things packed up. The pay was shite, and the benefits were nill. Unfortunately, a lot of companies over here look at the newly arrived residents, and see easy targets to pay them poor wages and give them few benefits because they'll take what they can get. They NEVER gave David a vacation. Not once. We went to my grandfather's funeral in NY this past November and they gave him the time off without pay. Also, he told them he was going to have to leave the job if they didn't give him health insurance, and they kept saying they would and they never did. They were awful. I'm so glad he's done with them. The only good thing is, now that he has some "experience" he'll hopefully be able to get a better job. Oh, and btw, he has a BA in history too!!!!

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe she HAS to file for the EAD. She only needs to file for the EAD if she wants to work in this country. If she intends to be a housewife, there's no reason to file for the EAD. When you file for AOS and she recieves her greencard, she will be legally allowed to work if she so chooses.

Well, the PC is about to be shut off and disconnected.....####### AM I GONNA DO WITH MY FREE TIME?????? Maybe I'll take up knitting....or something. Oh well. We're starting our move to Upstate NY, and I just wanted to tell everyone goodbye, and I'll be back in a week or two. Take care. Don't do anything I wouldn't do. And if anything really juicy happens, let me know when I get back!!!!
