  1. I had this as well; however you need the receipt number on the biometrics notice to actually track your case online. In my case they sent this number to me along with the response:

Recently you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence (Form I-751) to notify us that you did not receive your Application Support Center (ASC) appointment notice. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

A review of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records indicates that your biometric information is current, and it is not necessary for you to appear at an Application Support Center (ASC) for a biometrics appointment at this time. The biometrics fee will not be refunded. USCIS will contact you if updated biometric information or any other additional information is needed to process your petition.

You can check the status of your case online at www.uscis.gov using receipt number EACXXXXXXXXXX.

So I had to do this in order to get an update on the status of my case. As you know, the receipt number on the I-797 is useless for that.

  2. Yes, I mean when they are doing the background checks and other stuff before you get interviewed.

For the list of stuff I brought, I basically followed what was on the letter, and also brought several pieces of additional "evidence of marriage" such as photos, bank statements, investment accounts, tax transcripts, etc. We even brought pay stubs but I think those were unnecessary unless you need to prove that you are above the income limits. One thing that you'll need that was not part of the I-485 application are your USC spouse's birth certificate and ID. They made a copy of my wife's driver's license but didn't bother with the huge pile of other stuff that we had.

  3. I have my interview on May 29th. Does anyone know of a comprehensive list of things that we should bring for AOS? The I-797 just has a really general list of items that I'm not sure apply to everyone.

For example, if we've already submitted the I-864, and we don't have any sponsors other than ourselves, will we still need letters from our employers and pay stubs? etc...

  4. Any chance you could come up with a checklist for what you brought to the interview? Is it the same thing as what you listed above?

I'm just asking because the interview checklist that is mailed seems pretty general, and is asking for some things that don't seem necessary. For example, if you already submitted an I-864, do you still need to include letters from each current employer verifying current rate of pay, pay stubs, etc?

  5. you had your original appointment for 04/10 and on your attempt to walk in early you got rescheduled for 04/11, 1 day later than your initial appointment? was that your wish or did they punish you for walking in?

I had something at the scheduled time on 4/10 that I preferred not to miss, and that was my "excuse" for walking in. However, they said I couldn't walk in, but I could just reschedule for later in the week, so I said okay. The guy at the office just crossed out the time on my ASC letter and wrote the new one. It seems that the field offices have full control over the scheduling as they can accommodate you whenever they want (even the mail-in rescheduling form goes to the field office.)
