  1. Hi, The Administrative Process can take from 2 weeks to 7 months. This happens to many people. When they're finished reviewing your case and they see everything is good they approve you. You will be hearing from them.Did they keep your passport?Don't be sad this is normal.

bro u mentioned that after they finished the security check they will decide to approve or deny me right.. but the consular already approved me at the interview and he took my PASSPORT, so what do u think ?

  2. hi everyone..

    im so sad today :(

i made my interview on last week on the 16th, and the consular asked me what are u doing here in kenya and why u didn`t make the interview in EGYPT ? ( i answered it) then he said sorry i will send ur case to the U.S embassy in Egypt where u should have ur interview beacuse i don`t know anything about the egyption culture, then i said NO please i can`t go back to egypt and i explained to him why i can`t go back to EGYPT, he was too nice and understood my situation and he said ok have sit for minute, then he called my name again and started interviewing me, he asked me a few Questations and he asked for proofs i showed him all the evidence (my evidence was good) even he made fun of a photo of me and my wife together, and eventually he gave me white paper and told me, track ur case from here and we will send u the visa within a week i smiled big smile to him and i thanx him allot, then he said ( enjoy ur time in the states ) then i left to home happy and after 5 days, lady from the embassy called me and told me ur case is going under administrative process, me and my wife got shocked then we contacted the DOS to check our case they told my wife, madam ur husband is case pending under security check....

so how long this security check might take at the DOS ?

and what`s gonna happen after this security check ?

  6. hi all VJ:)

my interview after 3 weeks, so my Questation is im an egyption but residing in kenya and my egyptian criminal record will be valid 2 weeks only after the interview beacuse i made it last year before i come here, (the kenyan one is fine though still very valid), so do i need to provide new egyption criminal record in the interview even im no longer living there ?

plz i need answers, any advices will be appreciated :)

  7. A good piece of advice here. They don't always give you a chance to show the evidence that you have. When asked a question, try to work out a good method of handing them the evidence as you speak. So if they ask you "has she met your family".. If you have a picture of her with your parents for example, have it handy and hand it to the CO as you speak.

Remember to always know where your documents are if they ask for them. Having the documents well organized is a must!

As for AP, it's not solely based on your religion. Many Muslims around the world never go through AP. More often than not, it seems to be based on a combination of country of birth, religion and more. If you'll get AP, I don't know, but I don't think Kenya is mandatory AP at least.

thank you so much jaejayC for ur information it`s helpful :)

  8. The Nairobi Embassy is a tough Embassy. You should read through all of the Embassy reviews and read the Nairobi Embassy Thread. The Consular Officer's there can be very difficult and the fact that she only visited once could possibly be a red flag for them. Just be confident, look them in the eye when you speak to them, and don't let them intimidate you. Good luck and let us know how everything goes. If your fiance could be there with you for the interview, that would be a good thing.

yea i will be so confident, actually we already planned that my wife will take a vacation and visit me for the second time since we got married, i hope it helps at the interview..

one more questation, im MUSLIM guy do you think it`s gonna cause me any delay or security check ?

thank you allot for ur help bro :)
