Hi Everyone!
My husband and stepsons were approved for their green cards today!! After the long K1/K2 process it is over..at least for 2 years... Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who posted their experience on here and for all the support found on this site. This is a grueling process, but keep in your mind there is an end.
Love is strong..you will get through this
Thanks!!

The wheels of the US bureaucracy sometimes grind ever so slowly, but they usually proceed ahead.
Next year at this time, you can reflect on these times as part of your immigration journey.
Hang in there! You are almost there….
Thank you so much for the support! It is much apprecaited

Now the DOS says they have been printed; my fiance's last week and they children's yesterday. Maybe we will get them soon. Not knowing is torture...I am sorry for everyone going through this too..

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone else had this issue? My fiance and his two children were told at their interview(in Montreal)they were approved, but here we are more than 2 weeks later with no news on when they will receive their passports back! When I call the DOS they tell me that the K1 has been issued, but the K2s are still processing. It's very frustrating waiting like this after they were told they were approved and he got his "Welcome to the US" letter...

Check out the Montreal Consulate reviews on this website! They will give you an idea of what to expect!
Good Luck!

Hello, My fiance visited for a month after we received our NOA2! What they wanted to see at the POE in Montreal for him was his ties to Canada (which he was prepared to show). They ended up letting him go with a little piece of paper in his passport that said he had to be back in Canada by a certain date. He did have a copy of the NOA1 and NOA2, but for him, they just wanted to see the other information. Another little side note, he has always been harassed a little at customs in Montreal, but he had no problems in Detroit!
Good Luck!

We used the guide referenced above to put together our packet and we had no problems or RFEs!
Good Luck!

OK. This was supposed to be a Montreal Embassy specific question...

Hello,
We sent in our packet 3 for our K1 and K2s and the packet 3 letter did not specify that 1 DS-160 per person was needed so they requested the DS-160s for the K2s and new pictures for one of the K2s. We sent all of that in via Loomis last week and we have not heard back from the Embassy yet. Has anyone experienced this? I am very anxious at this point...
Thank you!

We also experienced this earlier this month. We emailed the Montreal embassy and within a couple days they emailed us the packet 3 letter. Hope this helps! Good luck!!

Hi There,
You can always try to expedite your interview too! Check out http://usvisa-info.com/en-ca/selfservice/us_expedited_appointments to see if any of those apply to you! We are waiting for packet 4 from Montreal as well; we have school age children so we are planning to ask for an earlier date Good Luck!

Thank you! I've been searching everywhere for an answer

Hello everyone,
We are getting ready to send in packet #3 for our K1/K2s but had a question about the police certificates. My fiance's children are 8 and 13 and it is unclear if they are required to have police certificates too for Montreal. Can someone please help?!
Thank you!

Hello, My NOA2 date is June 7th and they do not have a record of mine yet either...It's a little comforting knowing mine isn't the only one. I did scan in and email my NOA2 to NVC research...Hope to hear something soon for both of us!!

I am also waiting almost 3 weeks for the NVC to receive my petition. When I called the rep told me it usually takes 15 business days for them to receive it and get it into their system.

Hello,
My fiance and I have filed our K1 petition but I have a couple of questions about the K2. My fiance has full custody of his kids but his ex-wife is not willingly letting the kids come to the US. We are going to court to get permission and aside from signing their passport applications is there any other form that the ex-wife needs to fill out? I can't find any information on this..
Thank you!

That is a great question; I am mailing mine today and was looking all over for this answer!
Replacing Lost Green Card
in General Immigration-Related Discussion

My husband lost his green card and we are starting the process of replacing it. I know we have to file an I-90, but do we need to submit any other paperwork?
