Unfortunately I have received an RFE dated on 5/3 requesting more evidence on financial records. I have opened a separate thread titled "Financial Records" discussing my case.

Here it says you sent the last 2 years, make sure you sent them 3 years.
You don't need to send medical bills, just a copy of your medical cards showing you have a joint plan.
Did you send copies of your car insurance with both of your names on?
I would definitely send copies of your driver's license showing the same address.
Yes definitely I will send them the latest tax return (2011) which I submitted to IRS after I sent the ROC application back in November last year. I have also sent them the rental agreement with both our names on it. The car insurance is another thing I can send. I will also ask my corporate for a letter stating that my wife and kid are the beneficiaries of my benefits (life insurance, disability, etc..).

I don't think that will be useful, they want to see co-mingled finances throughout your marriage.
As I said in my previous post, you need to send them the last 3 years of tax transcripts.
Do you have any of the following items?
- Medical cards showing you have joint coverage
- Driver's licenses showing you both live at the same address (or state ID cards)
- Car title
- Mortgage or lease agreement with both of your names on
- Utility bills/phone bills with both of your names
Yes I did send them the last 3 tax returns (2009-2011), I just went back and checked. I did send all what you have mentioned except the driver's licenses (I can send them), car title (in my name only), and morgage agreement (don't have any).

Thanks for all the suggetions, I will submit whatever I have from all the docs you suggested. Now my main question is: Do you think opening a joint account now will be too late? The letter is saying the documents have to be from the date of marriage to the "present" date. Did anyone have a similar situation and opened the joint account after receiving RFE?

What about showing that your wife is a beneficiary on your 401k and/or other retirement accounts? Life insurance ? Is she a dependent on your health insurance plan? You can send that too as a way of showing that you are taking care of her financially.
I have sent them the followings:
1. all medical bills that we got charged for our child delivery and another operation she had after delivery.
2. my medical insurance showing her and my son as beneficiaries.
3. a copy of the credit card we have together (I added her as beneficiary) showing the same account number but different names. What upsets me is that they are now requesting credit card statements with both names on it. I called my credit card company and they told me they don't show both names on the statements!
4. last 2 tax returns filed jointly.
5. our child birth certificate.
6. travel itineraries for a couple trips we did together.
Now the letter is stating that they need the proofs from the date of marriage until the "present" date, not until the end of the 2 year period. This is making me willing to open a shared bank account and credit cards and send them the statements but I am very worried of their decision. That's why I want to send as much proofs as possible.

You need proof that spans the marriage so going and opening something after they tell you they need that evidence is not really going to help your case. Its going to look like your doing it just because they asked you too.
Do you have any other long standing evidence of co-mingling finances? That would be of more help to your case right now.
Unfortunately we don't. I have submitted joint tax returns and have added wife to my credit cards as authorized user. That's pretty much it. My wife does not work and never had a credit card of her own, so that's why we have limited shared financial records.

Yesterday I have received a notice from USCIS requesting more evidence about financial records. They want copies of joint bank statements, credit card statements, loan statements, and/or any other documents that show marriage was not entered into in order to circumvent US immigration laws. My wife and I don't have joint bank accounts or joint credit cards, so we will go and open joint ones. Can anyone suggest other documents to submit in order to cover joint financial records?

I tried both# from my NOA1, but it showed the same.
Congrats to all who got the approvals! cutedolphinn: I am having the same issue, my case doesn't show up online. I called them 2 weeks ago, they said this can happen sometimes and they assured to me that my case is in the system and said that I should not worry. This means there is no way for us to get any update before receiving the approval letter, which I think is also the case with those who can get the updates online.

Congrats cutedolphinn, I have also received mine today! Appointment date is on 2/13.

I called USCIS today and opened a ticket. They said they will look into it and send me a response within 15 days.

Looks like CUTEDOLPHINN and I are the only remaining ones who have not received the bio letter yet from California center. That's really frustrating
We both have Portland, Oregon as our ASC. I need to call USCIS again to verify why it's taking that long to send the letter. -
I called USCIS today and they told me I should receive the biometrics appointment within 2 weeks.

I haven't got mine either. My ASC is Portland, OR same as yours. My NOA1 date was 11/28/2011. I called USCIS today and they gave me another Receipt number for Biometrics, they said to call them again later today or tomorrow to check if I have my bio scheduled since the computer system wasn't working when I called. I have checked the new receipt number online and got nothing
