For the appointment, does my husbands temporary green card work as valid ID? It has a picture and everything.

My husband more here from Canada a bit ago, but now he's trying to get his desktop down from Canada. Can someone specifically outline what companies he can use? His parents have been trying to use purolator but they've been told no/they can't do it.

It needs to be a company that's avaliable in Nova Scotia.

Hi all! My husband arrived on the 25th and we went to our social security office that day, and filled out the forms, they said it should take about 2 weeks to get his card in the mail. He is here on a CR visa, and today he just got hired. As far as I read it, you are authorized to work on an IR/CR as soon as you enter the US.

His employer gave him a w-2, so what should he do until his number comes through?

Just wanted to update: We are sending an Official Bank Letter and 12 months of Bank Statements via Loomis in the morning. Montreal should receive them Wednesday. Wish us Luck!

They received my missing documents June 3, yesterday passed 4 weeks..

2 weeks ago I wrote to my COnsulate and they reply this can take from 1 to 4 months..but I don't now if this is real or just a reply so much to give...

Montreal gave me a ridiculous long timeline than issued my husband's visa a week after . You might be lucky.

Ok, so my status date updated for the 3rd day in a row, but still say Administrative Processing. I am starting to get a little worried! Is this normal?? I thought it would be "Ready" today for sure. Oh well at least they are working on it I guess. Fingers crossed for Monday!!!

Hey all! My husband will be moving to the US within the week (Yay!) and I just wanted to make sure everything was good. He doesn't have a car, and he is only taking his clothes (2 suitcases worth) and the tower of his computer (he's buying a new monitor here in the US the one he uses is really old).

That's literally it, he's not bringing any furniture or anything else. Since he doesn't have a lot of personal belongings, can this all be taken as check in the airport? Do we need to fill out any forms or no? Also, is there anything he needs to do Canada wise before leaving Canada? I know I read something about notifying an agency that he's leaving Canada, but I don't remember where I read it.

Honestly loomis can be really quick. I had my package the morning after my interview last year. Interviewed in montreal and picked up in Red Deer, AB.

Call the branch and see how long they will hold it and if they can ship it COD?

For the record, Halifax is a PoE airport now. Gone through it plenty of times and husband will be flying through it as well.

No, but I only checked my status at the end of the day. On my end, passport arrived at loomis branch, being shipped out tomorrow to my husband's address (he lives 5 hours out from it lol)

Got the waybill number and it arrived at the branch this morning (lol thanks for the last minute notice, Loomis). I had to send them an email to where I need it couried within Canada this morning as well, as the branch is 5 hours away from where my husband lives.

How long do they hold it at the branch?

I have send the document at the place WRONG address i sent it at the place of interview 1155 rue St-Alexandre

instead of the mailing address which is

Did you send it via Loomis? I didn't know to send it to the mail address either, but was told at Loomis that they knew where ot send it.

Still waiting, visa said issued as of thursday.

When/Where can I expect to see the Loomis waybill? My visa status said issued as of thursday, but I know they didn't work friday due to july 4th. I ask bc I need to contact them asap so I can have the visa delivered to my husband's address as he's 5 hours out from the nearest loomis branch!

Also my husband has not gotten a phone call that his visa was approved, I found out via the CEAC website.
