You should put in your current status - OOS/Overstay

My wife has the same experience - she passed the interview but the IO told her that she will be taking her oath before a Judge since she changed her name prior to her naturalization. It took her 2-3 months waiting for the letter to arrive confirming the date, time and location of the ceremony. You just need to be patient and it will come.

I have a Bachelor Degree from Mindanao State University. Will it be recognized by prospective employers here in the US, or what steps would be necessary to have the degree recognized here?
Thank you in advance for any advice you may offer.
Based on experience, if you are in the Nursing or IT field, it may be easier for you (Nursing - you just need to be credentialed and pass the exams). Other courses - goodluck with that. You may need to have to enroll in Graduate Schools to move up, otherwise, 4 year degrees in Phils are just equivalent to a secondary schooling here. You may need to spend some money to be credentialed and go back to school.

Just bring any evidence of strong ties to the consul. Like assets/ properties, bank accounts, taking care of kinds, etc. They may not ask for it, but the first thing that your parents should remember is to answer the question -WHY ARE YOU COMING BACK? If they can prove that to the consul, they will be granted a visa. The first thing they ask is usually - the purpose of the visit. Just have them an attitude where it is ok if you do not grant us a visa or great if you do. The only roadblock will be that the consul will tell your parents is to just wait for the petition (you) since you are the USC. Your affidavits or whatever letter you have will not really matter. As long as their intention is just to visit and go home afterwards, the consul will feel it when they are presenting themselves. Good Luck!
