We went for our interview on the 10th of May. The officer had us go in the back to his office (I am not sure why but it felt like I was in the Men in Black movie at their headquarters). We were sworn in and he asked for our identification. He then put a three in thick stack of paperwork that we had been mailing on his desk (good to see the paperwork going somewhere). He asked my wife some general questions, (Name of your father, City she was born, etc.) all the things we had put on the papers.
Officer: "let me guess you didn't do the medical part did you?"
Me: "yes we did" and handed him the receipt of the exam.
He stepped out of the office for about five minutes.
Upon returning
Officer: "ok I have what I need but it will take me a little time to get a hold of the doctor because he is in Arizona."
Officer: "do you have any questions for me at this time?"
Me: "now what?"
Officer: "we will get a hold of you through the mail"
Thinking to myself "not those words again!"
He then asked us what brought us to Chicago and said there is great food here and hoped we enjoy it here.
We then waited------- and waited------and waited!
almost three months has gone by and not a word. So we scheduled an Info Pass for August 11th.
TODAY THE WELCOME LETTER ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a relief!
everyone thanks for all your help! You have been valuable assets in this process.
Good luck!

My wife and I had our interview May 10. When we went it they didn't have her medical record. I had a copy and gave it to the interviewer. He stepped out of the office for about five minutes then returned and said "ok I have what I need but it will take a little while because the medical was done in another state." "We will contact you by mail."
Well here we are three months later and no word. If I contact the help center the just say the processing times for our office.
Does anyone know of anything we can do to find out where our AOS is?
Any sugestions would be helpful!
Thanks,
