LOL ~HOT MAMA~
I love Georgia too, how long did it take you to learn Georgian?
My husband is from Ajara, and yours?
-
Thanks guys! That was very helpful, I'll wait for the interview
:)
I guess skype will have to hold us together a little longer lol

The NVC said I don't need to be at the interview, so I emailed the US Embassy in Georgia and they said I don't need to attend either.
Do you guys think I should go???
Because I haven't seen my husband in almost 5 months, and I really want to go now, not in 2 months when the interview is scheduled!!
WHAT SHOULD I DO???

My case was closed last week at the NVC after one year and one day! I know that they schedule the interview with the embassy in Georgia, then they contact my husband, but what do I do in the mean time? Aren't they supposed to let me know when the interview is as well? I asked for an expedite so the interview can be in Feb, and they emailed me back saying my request is in review, aren't I supposed to get something in the mail as well about the case being closed?

my 5 month mark wait, was exactly 5 months...but that was just the easy part for me
NVC is so slow!

When/if they call my husband for an interview, do I need to be with him? He is in Georgia, I am in the US right now...???
-
yeah, i was in Georgia 6+ months, and if I started my process there, the K-3 would have allowed him to come with me and wait here in the US.
-
if you filed in the country your spouse is in, then K-3 gives your spouse the right to wait in the US for the process to finish...doesn't it? That's what they told me...but I filed in the US anyway.

they are reviewing my husbands police record, they don't believe it is valid, but in Georgia this is what they offer, and on the letter that mentioned he needed this document and provided the guy's contact information, the number was disconnected and other people in the office said that no man by that name worked there...

Anyone gone through THIS before?
I got married in Georgia(country)in Sept.2010.
Came back to America alone to start visa process, paperwork sent out Jan.17 2011
5 months later...approved.
Now at NVC, last step, have been reviewing 1 document for so long, I call every week, still reviewing that 1 document, and in 22 days it is going to 1 year!

US Embassy in Tbilisi Georgia
March 28th 8:45 am.
When my husband and I got to the embassy, I was asked if I would like to attend the interview with him, of course I said yes. When we walked into the other building, there was about 10 other people. My husband was called to the window and he gave them his passport, then he was called to another window and took an oath, the 3rd time he was called up the lady was really nice and was looking through our documents, she asked me how we met, then turned to my husband and asked what he thought when he first saw me. She then said that one of the documents needed to be translated and notarized, we left the embassy, went to a notary office and translated the document. When we got back to the embassy, another lady was already filling out a DHL form, she handed it to us and said we will receive it within 10 days...I said 'ok..um, what will we receive?' she smiled and said 'Your husband's visa'
It actually came the next day...and he's flying in at noon today
Praise God.
