  1. US Embassy in Tbilisi Georgia

    March 28th 8:45 am.

When my husband and I got to the embassy, I was asked if I would like to attend the interview with him, of course I said yes. When we walked into the other building, there was about 10 other people. My husband was called to the window and he gave them his passport, then he was called to another window and took an oath, the 3rd time he was called up the lady was really nice and was looking through our documents, she asked me how we met, then turned to my husband and asked what he thought when he first saw me. She then said that one of the documents needed to be translated and notarized, we left the embassy, went to a notary office and translated the document. When we got back to the embassy, another lady was already filling out a DHL form, she handed it to us and said we will receive it within 10 days...I said 'ok..um, what will we receive?' she smiled and said 'Your husband's visa' :)

It actually came the next day...and he's flying in at noon today :)

    Praise God. :) :)

  2. My case was closed last week at the NVC after one year and one day! I know that they schedule the interview with the embassy in Georgia, then they contact my husband, but what do I do in the mean time? Aren't they supposed to let me know when the interview is as well? I asked for an expedite so the interview can be in Feb, and they emailed me back saying my request is in review, aren't I supposed to get something in the mail as well about the case being closed?

  3. they are reviewing my husbands police record, they don't believe it is valid, but in Georgia this is what they offer, and on the letter that mentioned he needed this document and provided the guy's contact information, the number was disconnected and other people in the office said that no man by that name worked there...

  4. Anyone gone through THIS before?

    I got married in Georgia(country)in Sept.2010.

Came back to America alone to start visa process, paperwork sent out Jan.17 2011

    5 months later...approved.

Now at NVC, last step, have been reviewing 1 document for so long, I call every week, still reviewing that 1 document, and in 22 days it is going to 1 year! :(
